Lean in body and powerful in flavour, Back Hand of God Stout (formerly known as "Black Wolfhound") has won three consumers’ choice awards. This dry stout is easy to drink, rich and inviting. It is extraordinarily smooth and mildly hopped with a distinct coffee/chocolate presence.

Tap at micro. Pours a jet black with a solid tanned head. Nose has chocolate malts, roasted coffee and dry smoky hops. Taste is really dry coffee based. Bitterness just clings to the palate leaving it dry. Late coating of chocolate. Pretty solid stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

One of the best Stouts I've ever tried. Outstanding Color, aroma, fullness of flavor and very satisfying. A true BC Gem. MB -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Found this in Salmon Arm years ago, fell in love. Can find it in very few places, but sure to please when found! Rich but clean taste.

Great dark stout. Hard to find but when you do hunker down you are sure to have a few.

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2015 On tap at GCBF. Pours black with medium head. Aromas of chocolate powder, espresso, with a bit of plastic. Flavors of dry sweet chocolate and black coffee. Nice.

On tap @ Waterfront Wines in Kelowna. Inky brown-black with no head at all. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, cigar box, very lovely. Flavour is coffee dominated, but balanced nicely with dry roast. Finish has a light acidity. Very drinkable, flavourful, balanced stout.

Tap @ Malone’s. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, licorice, notes of coffee and hops. Dry finish.

(On tap at Christie’s) No head, even less than the typical headless stouts, quite roasty and the coffee notes are at the forefront here. It just is. No nuts for me, no chocolate for me, just coffeeish stout flavour. Mouthfeel was quite nice, not too watery. Thank goodness because watery stouts suck.

On tap at an Irish pub. Almost flat. No carbonation, server said that was normal. Guinness like appearance. Not bitter, not sweet. More carbonation would enhance mouthfeel. Disappointing. Too light around. Light flavour, feel, aroma. Needs more bitter, hops, and malt. I was expecting more... those darned expectations.
