In honour of our hopyards, this is a proper India Pale Ale at a drinkable alcohol level. A pale amber malt body emphasizes munich and caramel malts, with enough sweetness to hold up the rather large volumes of fresh Cascade and Golding hops. Spicy, aromatic, and bitter, this is a quenching and lively beer. Order an Insurrection!

Draft - Sweet caramel and butterscotch. Hazy gold with a rich beige head. Up front piny bitterness, caramel and butterscotch with a long bitter finish. Nice bitterness, not sure if that butterscotch sweetness is intentional or not, but still pretty decent.

Growler from the brewery. Hazy tan colour. Aroma is citrusy-spicy hop. Fruity, with rich citrusy bitterness, tangerine and orange. Lingering bitter finish. Really tasty. All that Chinook sounds like old school but this is all from the Crannog farm and has a distinctive, bright character. IPA with unique hops is always a winner.

Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 8, 2014
On tap @ The Brownstone. Clear orange, off-white foam fades. Mild aroma of toasty malt and floral hop. Taste is toasted caramel malt, light and fruity citrus, bitter floral herbal hop. Softer than average carbonation, light-medium body, moderately hopped. Above average quencher. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

On tap at Hops in New West. Served in a snifter, of all things! Well, hey, it’s all about the beer, not the glass I suppose. Pours a very dark amber, about the color of a zinfandel, with moderate head. A very well balanced beer with lots of malt and hops. This here’s a winner, folks!

DuffMan (10732) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 25, 2012
On tap @ Waterfront Wines in Kelowna. Deep orange, persistent white crown. Sweet tropical fruit and melon aroma. Papaya, over-ripe peaches, melon, long bitter finish. Not the classic Cascade palate-- I wonder if they’ve switched to Simcoe? Regardless, it was delicious.

mcberko (19227) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 30, 2011
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of piney hops, buttery caramel and light caramel backing. Flavour is quite mild, with lush piney, buttery hops and a delicate caramel malt backing. Easy to drink and light on the palate, but with very pleasant flavours. Solid.

Lifeless cloudy tea color. Neutral nose.Lightly astringent fore, neutral mid,big long bitter hop end. Lacks malt and balance

Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 5, 2011
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours clear golden yellow with a lasting creamy head. Aroma has shitloads of pine and a bit of resin. Flavour is tons of pine, buttery hops, almost fungal, and some malt backing. Pleasant palate, lightly bitter and medium bodied.

Cloudy golden color with compact head. Some hop aroma, smooth mouthfeel, mild malt flavor, strong bitterness, but with a pithy character in the end.
Imprecise. Not very pleasant.

Hazy golden color; creamy head. The aromatic hops have a fair presence in this dry Pale Ale; there is also a light aroma of apples; the flavor is quite ordinary. Strong bitterness. Pleasant but without excitement.
