2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draught at Darby’s Pub, Vancouver
Cloudy blond color, small head. The aroma is delicate, herbal (heather, thyme), a bit footy. It has some bread flavor, very light herbs, maybe butter, and no bitterness whatsoever. Very weak final.
Not knowing anything about it, I’d guess this is a hop-less beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, light Belgian spices and some feint blueberries. Flavour of wheat, very feint blueberries. Very simply, but refreshing on a hot day. Decent.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a light brown with no head and a typical wit aroma with a bit of caramel. Upfront, this tastes like a regular ale but dissolved quickly into a watery wit, but with some decent spiciness. Thin body and low carbonation don’t really help this beer. Too watery, half-hearted hybrid of a wheat.

Hazy amber colour. Fresh grain nose is slightly spicy, with chocolate chip accents. The body is slick, with light spiciness. Finishes a bit watery despite plenty of aromatic promise.
