COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
n the 1960s, before Vail Village was paved and closed to vehicles, "hookiebobbing" referred to those committed fools who, while on skis, grabbed onto the bumper of passing cars to tow them up to the lifts. Our IPA is a Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one hop from Down Under team together to make a bright, citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Galaxy.

BeerandBlues2 (13697) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 15, 2017
Fragrant American hops providing fruity, herbal and grassy notes initially with medium-low cracker malt, and some faint honey notes. As it warms the hops become a little perfumey. Overall, a clean aroma and no esters. Pours clear copper with a small, frothy tight-bubbled white head, short retention with light spotty lacing. Flavor is moderate fruity and citrus hops, somewhat pithy with a moderate, lingering hop bitterness. Light cracker and grainy malt provides a light sweetness to lightly cut the hop bitterness. Dry finish with clean fermentation and no off flavors. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation with light carbonic bite and light alcohol warmth.

A bold, hop-forward beer that maintains the hop dominance throughout, showcasing a complex mixture of hop varietals. The hop bitterness lingers a while with a palate-drying effect. The lingering bitterness is a bit distracting in this example.

Backlong entry. This beer is close to style with typical flavors. Well rounded and clean. Nothing too outstanding or unusual.

Keg at the East Street Tap, Brighton. Gold pour with a white head. Vanilla, honey and citrus aroma which segues nicely into the flavour. Good bitter finish. Tasty .

Can. Cloudy golden body with a frothy, white head, diminishing. Off-putting aroma of litter box, old shoes, citrus, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Taste of citrus, pine and some tropical fruit. Slightly sour. Hard to get around the aroma.

355ml can: BBD 14th May 18. Poured into a Duvel glass at home on 2nd Aug 17. Hazy orange body, full white blanket of foam on top. Piney hop nose on a bed of maltiness. Taste is semi-bitter and again, a piney hop lead with an undertone of malty goodness. Liked it.

Thin off white head left a cover on a hazy gold coloured still body. Juicy aroma of sweet citrus, orange & hops. Medium bodied, smooth, soft on the palate & a slight tingle on the back. Dry. Bitter hops, grapefruit, citrus, mango, spice & pepper.

pintbypint (3767) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 9, 2017
355ml can. Clear gold, large white head. Nose - citrus, melon, fruity. Taste - pine, resin, citrus, light malt. Finishes with light bitterness and long pine and resin aftertaste. Strong carbonation. Light and not as aggressive as I was hoping for, but no flaws.
