COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
n the 1960s, before Vail Village was paved and closed to vehicles, "hookiebobbing" referred to those committed fools who, while on skis, grabbed onto the bumper of passing cars to tow them up to the lifts. Our IPA is a Colorado approach to the American take of an English classic. Three aggressive yet floral American hops and one hop from Down Under team together to make a bright, citrusy and floral India Pale Ale. A deep caramel malt helps to balance the bitterness of the hops and lets the complex hop bill shine.
Hopped with Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial and Galaxy.

Bottle at The Red Squirrel. Its a bit strange for an IPA: very cloudy, but not tropical. Light hops and citrus comes through. Very pleasant: feels more like an American wheat ale in its flavour profile to me.

Clear deep gold color with medium white foam. Aromas sweet of honey, tropical fruits and grapefruits. Palate, medium body with medium smooth texture leaving rather dry finish. Taste, lightly sweet of herbal grassy hops with notes of bitter orange peel. Overall, not bad, rather different to normal IPA, dry, herbal and somewhat bitter citrusy notes present, not the best but still rather a fun beer, especially label is cool looking.

Aroma is delightful but the flavour profile falls flat for me. The pour is golden orange with a thick white head. Nice carbonation. Overall there are light grapefruit and bright citrus fruit notes, light floral and perfumy notes. Malts are heavier than I like but balance the hops well. A good bitterness on the finish with a nice smack of resin and citrus fruits. Overall, decent but forgetful.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Hazy blond brew with dense off white head. Aroma is lemony citrus overlaying a pine with notes of spice, pepper and light green fruit. Taste is moderate cracker malt up front with quickly emerging straw, green fruit, citrus and resin. A few mild tropical fruit notes emerge at the end, but the very end is lingering bitter resin. Hops seem to be more pronounced in the aroma than the taste and overall its a fairly mild IPA though nicely balanced with the malt. Average palate with very active carbonation. Enjoyable.

Big caramel malt, balance out the hops on the aroma. Big hop finish, is matched by the malt bill .

Keg @ Gas Works Brew Bar, Manchester. Golden with a thin head. Fruity in its nose it has a very recognisable pale ale texture. Theres a heavy dry citrus taste too, which creates a fair bitterness for the ale and its strength is somewhat hidden.

Can- pour is hazy and blond. The head is off white and highly carbonated and thick. The aroma is Floral, malty, and earthy hops. The taste is earthy hops, a little herbal notes, reminiscent of weed. There are also citrus notes and the finish is malts. There is a lingering bitterness that is present long after the beer is finished. Overall this is a good balanced IPA not too hoppy a good hop presence.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2016 Can, 12oz, Booths. Nice looking cover art. Pours quite murky gold with frothy white head. Aroma isnt massive but quite pleasant - reminiscent of sweet pink grapefruit. Taste is well rounded bright pink grapefruit with a pronounced malty sweetness. Maybe too sweet for some but i found this very easy to drink. Not the most complex or juicy IPA out there. It is sweet which masks the hop bitterness but Im not convinced about the claimed 87IBUs though
