This Ale is our take on a classic Belgian Wit Beer. To make this beer unique, we add un-malted wheat, rolled oats, two varieties of classic European hops, chamomile, curacao orange peel, coriander, grains of paradise, and a rare yeast strain from the Old Country. This is a beer that can be enjoyed year round. Cheers!

Can split in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’15, night 2 - 20/02/15 thanks to whomever shared this number. Hazed yellow with a moderately appointed off white covering. Nose is melon, tangerine, straw, floral, hop notes. Taste comprises light spice, citric peel, orange pith, straw, light perfume. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok wit.

crazy mountain lava lake wit Can. It’s an unclear, pale golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma has a touch of bubblegum and cinnamon, reminding me of Norwegian style rice porridge. There’s a faint touch of coriander and lemon, with some orange, flower and cinnamon. Suspect the cinnamon is the grains of paradise. Medium body, semi-dry, and with a pleasant carbonation. Lasting finish. A rather unusual one, don’t know if I like it or not, so I ended up somewhere in between. 140623

Clear golden pour with a white head. Lemon, soap, honey, coconut, and chamomile on the nose. Sweet bread, some grass, coriander, and orange. Weird sour, soapy, herbal flavor. Chamomile, coconut, honey, and lemon. Light bread and cracker maltiness, grass, and a hint of orange. Really weird.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a slight white head. Aroma is a bit floral, with suggestions of citrus. Med body. Flavor is citrus with pepper notes. Chamomile seems to be very present. Finishes not quite dry. Not the usual wit.

Ratman197 (14842) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUN 23, 2012

Can. Pours clear gold with an average, frothy white head, medium-short retention with light to good lacing. Aroma is chamomile, flowers, light citrus, spicy wheat malt, grains of paradise, and earthy yeast. Flavor is light malt, huge spices and flowers with very low hops and bitterness and a dry finish. Light body and medium-light carbonation.

bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2012
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma of chamomile, coriander, wheat, baby powder, and soap. Flavor of chamomile, wheat, coriander, and citrus with a dry powdery finish.

Dogbrick (13018) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 16, 2013
Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with a thick and fluffy white head that dissipates slowly. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of sweet spices and fruit. Light body with flavors of citrus, wheat and a touch of spicy yeast. The finish is semi-sweet with a short fruity aftertaste. Average overall.

crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 24, 2014
355ml can. Golden color, large head. Smell is lemony, some chamomile. Flavor is lemony again, lemon curd, dry cracker, this is actually a pleasant surprise.
