COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mad & Noisy is a new small batch series from Creemore Springs Brewery, named after the two rivers that merge and flow through the village of Creemore. The first release is Hops & Bolts India Pale Lager, a Czech twist on an English IPA. Hops & Bolts IPL is a bit lighter than an IPA, but a bit fuller than your golden lager, featuring a pithy bitterness that blends to a silky balancing malt sweetness. In the glass, you’ll see a slight unfiltered haze which settles to a bright orange-cedar colour and a dense, lingering off-white head. The big hoppy aroma features a blend of light tropical fruits and bold piney and grassy notes.

This was outstanding, and the first of their series I have tried. I adored the citrus aftertaste too, and it went down smooth. Definitely one that's more my style, and I'll certainly check this one out again soon!

Golden amber color white head. Light biscuit and caramel aroma. Taste has caramel and light piney resin. Decent.

Nice creamy head and slightly foggy orange gold body. Hop and honey aroma some sour sweetness but also a bit of dryness to balance it out. Flavour is a solid blend of hoppy notes with sharp malts. Crisp finish. Well balanced IPA if not too unique, but sometimes that's a good thing.

Sample from a flight of 4 at Toronto airport. Hazy brown, negligible head. Grapefruit and peach aroma. Typical citrus grapefruit rind and tropical fruit sweetness against a caramel background. Decent IPA: Perhaps not the best beer I ever drank at an airport, (that would be a bottle of Wiestephaner in Austria), but possibly the best draft.

UPDATED: AUG 14, 2017 They had me at the word 'Mad' and this hoppy little IPA didn't disappoint! Very tasty.

Pours a huge foamy off-white head and has an amber/coppery appearance. Nice dirty lacing. More malty than hoppy aromas or so it seems. Malty flavours of the toasty and nutty variety. Hops are mainly earthy hops with some notes of floral hops. Seems like malts are taking over here. A bit of an orangey taste in the finish. Smooth mild and creamy mouthfeel. Slightly puckering sensation. Not too bad but really nothing too exciting or innovative.

Tap @Beerhive, Toronto-Pearson Airport. Large head, golden/amber colour, hazy. Light aroma of hops, grapefruit peel, citrus. Bitter taste, long finish, light body, average carbonation. Nicely refreshing before a flight.
