Draft in Toronto. Minimal aroma. Looks like your avg lager (think budweiser). Flavor is maltier than plain American lagers. Overall is lacking. Seems like a run of mill macro.

Can, same label, while at Wayhome music festival. Not a terrible beer, light, drinkable, less of a metallic aftertaste than Molson, which was the other option. Still nothing out of the ordinary though. Would drink again if options were limited.

Deep bronze colour. Clear. Malty and corny aroma. Taste is lots of malt with a bit of cheese at the end.

One of my favorites. Good year-round beer that goes well with a BBQ in the summer or a pub dinner in the dead of winter. Always have this in my fridge.

Can. On numerous occasions on tap, in cans and bottles. Clear golden-orange body, medium white head with average retention, some lacing. Pleasant herbal aroma: hops, grains, apricots and apples. Taste of caramel malt, apricot jam, a touch of harsh bitter herbs, some metal notes. Due to wide availability, I find myself drinking it too often. Ok.

draft at a hotel bar near the Montreal Dorval Truedeau Buttlick Twenty Name long International Airport. Pours medium amber, translucent, thin off white head. Nose is minimal. Taste has some light bread notes. Balanced if not a tad to the sweet side. light flowers. light to medium body, pretty damn good.

Pours a very clear golden with a thin white veil on top that leaves low lacing. Nose is of corn for the most part with some light sweet barley in the back. Taste is lightly sweet and lightly bitter, could be crisper. Moderate body, moderate carbonation. Overall I assume that the recipe has changed since they were acquired by Molson a few years ago looking at the other ratings. As of now this is far from convincing. Better than most macro options but really not in the same game/league as the craft equivalents.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with a small, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, toasted grain, honey and bread. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, bread, toasted grain, honey and grass with a dry, mildly bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. A pretty solid lager.

341 ml bottle with screw crown cap bought at CitySuper in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Clear amber colour; Less than one-quarter finger head with residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Fair sticky lacing with barely notable slight carbonation; Quite pungent aroma of Lager malt, with strong caramel, grains, very light cardboard, strong floral, sugar, bread, light lemon and light grass; Mid to light sweet taste of fair Amber malt, with barley grains, caramel, floral, molasses, light bread, lemon, Close to medium bitter hops and grass; Mid to light body. Quite Slick palate; Mouth Feel is fair maltyness in a fairly thin but slick background. Strong Amber characters with fairly Bock-ish, strong caramel and grains. Strong floral and notable but restrained sweetness. Good lemon to round. Pretty good!... Hoppiness is strong floral, light lemon and light grass in nose, and strong er in taste; Bitterness is medium for a lasting, astringent sweet-bitter finish; Fairly dry after taste. Floral, sweet and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: The caramel element is strong and quite pleasing in its aroma, as well as the standout Amber Bock-ish taste. Maybe its trying too hard to be a Czech Lager (Polotmav maybe?), its body is thin and theres less than impressive grainy taste. Okay to enjoy if I dont have to pay for the imported price, that is.
