Weigh the Anchor, Hoist the Sails! Colossal waves and lashing winds – this was the life of the English sailors whose job it was to bring beer to Colonial India. Only an insane amount of hops and high alcohol content helped it to withstand the perilous journey. Drunken Sailor IPA brings this adventure and powerful taste to the 21st century – Ship Ahoy! Hops: Herkules, Citra, Cascade, Simcoe Malt: Pilsener, Munich, Crystal

Bottle. Clear amber color, very small white head. Faint aroma, a little fruity, but not that strong. Dry taste, very high bitterness. Light malty, a bit hoppy fruity aftertaste. Low carbonation, medium texture. I can feel that there is a huge amount of hop in this beer, due to the high bitterness, but it’s almost everything gone into the bittering, and not the aroma.

On tap @Ølfred - Aarhus streetfood Pours golden, with small amount of white foam. Intense hops, not fruity, an IPA as you expect it, more intense though

Balance is what defines this flavourfull bavarian IPA. Sweet, caramel, light bitter and alcohol make a great team together. Nice sweet and fruitty aroma. Love it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not sure who the drunken sailor was this IPA was named after, but it surely wasn't the bewer. He knew exactly what he was doing. Don't start off with this one, because not many beers will taste good after this one.... Serious about beer.
