Weigh the Anchor, Hoist the Sails! Colossal waves and lashing winds – this was the life of the English sailors whose job it was to bring beer to Colonial India. Only an insane amount of hops and high alcohol content helped it to withstand the perilous journey. Drunken Sailor IPA brings this adventure and powerful taste to the 21st century – Ship Ahoy! Hops: Herkules, Citra, Cascade, Simcoe Malt: Pilsener, Munich, Crystal

Bottled 33cl. My version had something like 48 IBUs. Hazy amber. Great, deeply inviting nose. Resinous hops throughout. Good malt back. Delicious.

Balance is what defines this flavourfull bavarian IPA. Sweet, caramel, light bitter and alcohol make a great team together. Nice sweet and fruitty aroma. Love it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not sure who the drunken sailor was this IPA was named after, but it surely wasn't the bewer. He knew exactly what he was doing. Don't start off with this one, because not many beers will taste good after this one.... Serious about beer.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2017 At Berlin Bar in Copenhagen. Fresh aroma, grass. Powerful with notes of fruit, blackberry. Overwhelmingly bitter. Base a little too boozy.

0,33 l Flasche. Oranges, trübes Bier, grobporiger, stabiler Schaum, schöne Gardine. Riecht fruchtig, Mandarine. Schmeckt nach Mandarine, deutlich bitter.

Aroma of grass, grapefruit & clementine. Hazy golden with very long lasting white head. Medium sweet & very little bitterness. Medium body, creamy texture & soft carbonation.

whiskyjan (10) - Seefeld in Tirol, AUSTRIA - MAY 19, 2017

Sweet aroma of peaches and apricot. Also taste of peach sweetness together with some caramalt. Quite bitter finish.
