2011, somewhere in a small apartment in Munich. Two enthusiasts have just set up their first homebrew kit and are experimenting with malt and hop varieties from all over the world. Their goal: A beer that will revolutionise the world of German beer. Foundation 11 was the foundation stone for CREW Republic and the German Craft Beer Revolution. Draught at CBF 2014. Hazy amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of yeast, hops, fruit, citrus, grass and a bitter finish.

Bottle shared. Pours clear orange with a white head. Aroma of orange peel, caramel malt, light fruits and citrus. Flavour is above light sweet and moderate bitter. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation.

A hazed golden pils with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with doughy floral hops, light grapefruit, pleasant and smooth. Bottle at VIP Lounge Mondial 2016.

Bottle. Golden color, hazy. Melon, lychee and grapefruit in the aroma. Earthy hopbitter flavor with hints of tropical fruit. Plastic notes. The hops could be more outspoken, but this is a pleasant ale.

courtesy of Toni Flükiger - cloudy dark orange beer with a modest foam left; decently hoppy aroma with notes of caramel and flowers; moderate carbonation and medium-bodied, a fair but not aggressive bitterness; quite dry and with a long hoppy finish where notes of caramel dominate

Bamberg bash day 1 - 24/1/14. Bottle shared on train. Thanks to Leighton i think. Arom ais decent lemon and pine hops, lighht resin and tropical fruit. Greyish yellow colour with a thin white head. Flavour is sweet tropical fruit orange, some yeast. Finish is sweet. Nice to taste some hops in germany.

Bottle from Voldby Købmandsgaard - pours fuzzy golden colour with medium white head and pretty lacing. Aroma and taste is a pleasing medley of citrus and tropical fruit, some mango and mandarin, fresh and juicy. Very nice.
