bottle: 330ml crown top bottle pours a dense light defying black ale in the glass with a 2 finger meringue brown head which laces and lasts. Aroma; dark cocoa, licorice, chicory, dried dark fruits, hints of mint an fusel. Flavor follows aroma with light hints of sweetness, deep roastiness and long charred finish - rich, oily mouthfeel, warming, satisfying - a decent Impy but a tad thin in the delivery. thewolf (12858) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2017

, Flensborg. Pours deep brown to black with a medium, staying, frothy beige head. Aroma has sweet vanilla, chocolate, light milky, a slight peppermint note. Low carbonation, fine dry and quite creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has dark chocolate, light vinious, lots of vanilla, light roasted. Quite sweet overall. Lingering malty bitterness with some alcohol heft.
Full-flavour, dense chocolatey stout. Pours with a thick and creamy coffee-colored foam. Consistency is also quite heavy. Color is pitch black. Sweet malt aroma, cappuccino, floral notes. Palate is very smooth. Taste follows the aroma. Sweet malt, cappuccino, semi-dark chocolate, hot chocolate, red berries in after taste. Leaves a little bitter feeling. Very, very nice, pleasant, rich and thick. AleRider78 (1471) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 29, 2017
Bottle from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy tan head but dissipates to a thin coating. Has a very deep, dark brown appearance. Lacing is ok. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, hints of vanilla. Flavours are strong chocolate and coffee notes, dark roasted malts. Some earthy and resin notes as well as subtle spices. Slick and oily mouthfeel. Good stuff! A fluffy, well laced tan head on a black-brown body. The nose is an appealing combination of wood, chocolate, roasted malt and dark berries. A well integrated, smooth IS. Milk chocolate, light coffee, raisins, cherries, blackberries, cream and a touch of vanilla work well together. Rich, dense and a bit slick. Top notch

I picked up this bottle at amstein the last year, best before 04/2018. I share this bottle at home in Lausanne with my brother for his birthday, two days ago. In my own opinion, it is a delightful imperial stout, good impression for this one. The color is a powerful black body, black forest, thin white and brown foam, average carbonation for the style. The taste is directly powerful with roasted malt, coffee, liquorice with notes of cacao and some honey, hop, the alcool is well hidden, creamy sensation into the throat, powerful aromas, the best beer and style to find a new happiness in your life or if you are depressed or sad, to drink step by step during these winter days. 330 ml bottle from the LCBO. Pours a nearly black colour with modest-sized beige head. Aroma is anise, dark fruit, chocolate, roast and sweet tree fruits. Flavour has loads of licorice, raisin, chocolate, light roastiness, brandy and tree fruit. Alcohol is very subtle. Impressive. Marko (6183) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 4, 2017
Thanks Sandi! Poured a blackish dark dark brown body with a brown head. Heavy honeyish aroma, light citric touches, very pleasant, classic dark malts touches, but mainly hugely honeyish. Taste... Remarkably mild (for the ABV), but in a good way, soft, citrusy tea notes mixing with the huge honey. Very well hidden ABV indeed. Actually, an excellent beer. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is chocolate and fruit. Taste is a little sweet and a little bitter with some warming alcohol. Notes of chocolate, coffee, berries, burnt malt, tropical fruits, vanilla, wood and a hint of grassy hops. Light to medium bodied with low-moderate carbonation. This ones got some serious depth. The malt is more chocolate than roast and there’s plenty of fruit hiding the alcohol.
