COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cricket Hill American Ale is an easy drinking “amber” ale with a wonderful balance of caramel sweetness and hop flavor. The aroma has a slight note of citrus and rock candy. There is not an imported ale on the market that tastes this fresh.

Poured with a very lively head, in fact I first thought the bottle I opened had been shaken prior. The head did settle but left behind a thick foam of ’Brussels Lace’ all the way down to the end of the pint glass. A pleasant enough beer, but needed a little more hop character.

August 2010 from bottle. Amber color with a white head. Medium carbonation. Caramel, malt, spice, bread and hoppy flavors. Not bad, not good.

Bottle thanks to jcwattsrugger at the RBWG! Pours a clear golden brown with fluffy tan head and light lacing. Aroma of pale malts and earthy, floral hops. Taste follows, a little bit of funkiness from the hops and malt balance. Pretty solid pale.

b3shine (9281) - Indiana, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Bottle to taster at the RBWG Grand Tasting (thanks jcwattsrugger). Looks solid; a semi-transparent orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells solid; bitter hops and malt. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. A solid example of the style.
