22 oz. bottle, courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours a clear reddish copper with a thin ecru head. Head recedes to a thin ring. Head filling aromas of caramel, toffee and vanilla. Sweet flavors of all the above with minor oak tannin and a little pine resin. Full, warm palate. Well done.

Bottle from John himself! Rich orange pour. Sweet caramel, quite dry, wood, and it feels a bit volatile evaporating off the tongue. Nice brew.

Bomber from some Total Wine somewhere. Pours a clear red-bronze color with a medium frothy tan head. Good head retention. Nice looking beer. Aroma of toffee, slight oxidation, hoppy finish. The taste is caramel, toffee, toast, brown sugar, bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness.

Bottle thanks a trade! Pours a clear amber with a creamy white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains and light fruits with a bit of a boozy backing. Flavor combine booze and sweet grains with a touch of light fruit but a bit heavy on the booze.
