Bottle from JWatts, shared with my brother. Aroma is great english barleywine: figs, molasses, caramel, vanilla, and bourbon. Pours bronze with a light head to lacing. Taste is vanilla forward with nice raisin, figs, light chocholate, oak, syrup, and bourbon. Sweet and delicious throughout without being tedious and sugar bombed. Great stuff. Really impressed by this one. AdamChandler (5252) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bronze as hell like a penny

22 oz. bottle. 2010 vintage thanks to jcwattsregger. Thanks a lot John! Crystal clear amber/ gold color. Nose has a nice smooth vanilla , oak and caramel and hints of English malt. Flavor is ridiculously smooth, oaky subtle bourbon upfront with traces of vanilla, candy toffee and alcohol is totally gone. Without hyping this beer, this a top in style for my own personal ratings. Absolutely fantastic. This aged extremely well. mcox90 (2179) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 29, 2012
22 oz bottle, courtesy of jcwattsrugger. Pours a beautiful clear copper/orange with a thin white halo. Nice looking. Big toffee and vanilla nose. Hints of bourbon. Hints of oak. Sweet, but not cloyingly so. Full palate with a nice gut warming feel. Enjoyed with the wife on a cold fall evening. Very good. alexsdad06 (11560) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - SEP 29, 2012
22 oz. bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a hazy liquid caramel color with a small off white head. The aroma has sweet caramel, bourbon, vanilla with ripe fruits and some oxidation notes. The flavor is much of the same with mild bitterness to the finish. Light woody character.

Bottle. Amber with an off white head. Toffee and toasted bready malts, lower on the sweetness, with lighter bourbony notes, a smoky hint, and light floral notes in the finish. Pretty good. pineypower (3353) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Bottle thanks to Dmac. Pours out a nice, amber color with a small whispy white head. Aroma is caramel, wood, bourbon, dried fruits and some sweetness. Taste is of very sweet caramel, toffee, wood, golden raisin, bourbon, and honey-like sweetness. dmac (6646) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - MAY 16, 2012
22oz bomber from John. Poured a good looking deep reddish/amber body with a smaller off white foamy head. Aroma of has some strong raisin notes, caramel, molasses, toast, vanilla, bourbon, oak and green grapes. Rather full bodied with soft carbonation and a milky mouthfeel. Flavor of caramel, malts, bourbon soaked oak, green grapes, alcohol and spiced rum. Overall I was surprised how full bodied this was and the overall sweetness despite some serious barrel aging which imparted a good dose of heat. Bomber shared by BeerandBlues2 (thanks Brad) poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, plum, vanilla, light cardboard and light carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bourbon, oak, vanilla, carmel and light spice with a smooth dry lingering bourbon finish. Doodler (473) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 21, 2011
Big thanks to BeerandBlues2 for bring this to Ratmans. Poured a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aromas of bourbon, vanilla and caramel apples. Flavor is dry with a sweet coconut finish. Decent carbonation and easy drinker for a 8%+ ABV Barleywine. This is one of the better brews I have tried from Cricket Hill and worth seeking out. Thanks again Brad!
