[ As Cricket Hill Colonel Blides ESB ]. Clear medium amber color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, moderate hoppy, orange, citrus and pine notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

Clear medium to dark amber color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, berry, dusty, moderate to heavy hoppy. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (060808)

(as Colonel Blides ESB). Amber colour, not much head. Aroma is wood, some fruits and a bit yeastylike earthy notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Balanced, but quite boring ESB.

Amber colour, small head. Aroma is caramel, hops, some mild notes of wood and malts. Flavour is wood, saltwater, earth mild grassy hops as well as mild caramel.

Cask at GBBF. Clear brown beer. Softish palate, a little dry. Sweetish malt. Peachy fruit and a little orange. Low carbonation and finishes dry but a tasty little beer.

Bottle. Pours a light, murky brown with a thin white head. A welcoming aroma of fruity hops and sweet malt. Flavor is moderately rich, with nice, lightly roasted malt character and some bitter hops towards the end. Earthy, with notes of caramel and brown sugar. Medium in body with medium to low carbonation. Finish is semi-dry and lightly warming. Good beer overall.
