The East Coast Lager is an easy drinking golden lager with a wonderful balance of crisp malt flavors and flowery hop finish. Built specifically with very low bitter aftertaste, the aroma is as clean as the taste. A difficult beer to brew because of the gentleness this beer is magnificent!

Single bottle from HyVee, Davenport. Hm, pours a golden color when my impression of an "East Coast" lager is shaped by the more amber colored Sams and Brooklyns and Yuengling. But okay. Sudsy head, lots of bubbles clinging to side, and a pronounced papery oxidation smell under the cap make this look like a bowling alley beer. I can catch a small amount of malt on the nose, nothing huge. But then, an agreeably malty taste with some peppery German hops right up front. Thought I caught a bit of extra saccharine, but it slipped away again. Finishes up nice and malty, just dont know what this has that keeps it from being called a pilsener.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle acquired in trade from jcwattsrugger. With my thanks. Golden yellow slightly hazy pour. Heady. Pale, sweet malts, grassy and bushy hops, and backyard moss. Light to medium body. The taste is at first sweet and then ends mildly bitter and dry. A pretty basic lager that is easy to drink.

12 oz. bottle supplied by jcwattsrugger - many thanks! To oversized snifter, it pours a clear deep orange with which a snowy white head 1 finger in length stood. Aromas of seaweed, LME, Bible paper, straw, noble hops, and cotton. Tastes the same with the addition of wet cardboard, banana peppers, and dry bread yeast. WtF is this?

Appearance: Slightly to moderately hazy golden body with a tall and dense white head that sticks around for a while.
Aroma: The smell is of corn and malt sweetness, hints of florallnes, but overall like a poor unfinished homebrew.
Taste: Mildly sweet, tastes underattenuated and very poor quality homebrew like. Malts are prominent, but thats not saying theres a lot of flavor in it. There are no flaws but this is pretty bad.
Palate: Full-bodied, mildly carbonated. Not crisp at all.
Overall: I am sorry dudes, but I cant find a redeeming quality in this. If I spent $11 on a six pack of this Id be very pissed.
