Naturally fermented with authentic Sake yeast using a premium blend of fresh pressed apple juice, not from concentrate, with no added malt, spirit, or grape alcohol. A racy, high-speed cider that remains crisp and well balanced. Cloudy and straw colored with an exotic polished complexity. Cho-tokkyu is clean, vibrant with an authentic dry sake nish and a distinctive apple backbone. Cho-tokkyu Artisanal Reserve cloudy hard cider is unfitered and uses racked apple wine smoothed with pure organic, gluten free, rice syrup. No added colorants, sorbate or benzoate preservatives. Best served cool to cold. As with all our Artisanal Reserves, give a full bottoms-up tilt and swirl to disperse unfiltered apple-wine sediment evenly.

Kind of an interesting idea that just doesnt play out. Appearance is a flat pale yellow. Aroma is fresh apple cider with some sake overtones that sort of work, if youre into that kind of thing. Personally, Ive had much better. Ok body. Short finish.

A hazed golden cider with aroma of tart apples, light mineral notes, light Brett, pleasant. In mouth, a light sweet apple pulp with light lemony notes, watery bodied, so-so.

Interesting cider. A little drier than usual. Soft on the palate and smooth. Would try again as a variation but not something Id seek out.

Poured out of a bomber into a glass -- Not much to look at or smell. The flavor is very delicate with a very pleasant smooth constant presence. Delicate and bubbly.

This is a hot mess. Thin, dry and nearly tasteless. Some notes of apple and rice crisps.

Bottle. Poured clear pale color with a minimal head that diminished slowly with little lacing. Medium floral apple and yeast aroma. Medium body with a dry smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium apple flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable cider.

Pale straw pour. Even lighter perhaps with effervescent bubbles. Aroma is tart green apple. Cleanness on the front of the palate, green apple, white grape, sweet nutty grain Flavour through middle. Been a long time since I've had a glass of sake, though the finish here has something vaguely reminiscent of melon, rice and alc. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy super pale with no head. Aroma is really light apple, medium body, medium carbonation, and really soft. Taste is light apple. Too plain.

65cl - pours like pastis served right, minus the ice cube. Nose is rice and apples. I feel like Im getting on a roller that is just too new for my sense of security: this might completely suck... I might add the smell of bamboo shoots or water chestnuts. Retains the corporeal qualities of a cider: effervescence and a stickiness in the back of the throat. I just now realized I failed to "give a full bottoms-up tilt and swirl to disperse unfiltered apple-wine sediment evenly." IDIOT! Flat finish. More complex than a sake.

Pours a very pale cloudy gold. Crisp apple aroma with some light yeasty funk and dusty dough notes. Lightly sweet with quite a bit of tartness. Lighter-medium body, fairly active carb, with a tart and dry yeasty finish. I enjoyed this, particularly for its dryness. The rice syrup didnt make an impression on me.
