Nice bottle design. When you pour this beer into a tulip it at first doesn't look appealing because of the "floaties". Once you smell this cider the appearance is an afterthought. It has wonderful bourbon notes as well as some faint vanilla character. Taste is equally impressive, with sweet apples, vanilla and sweet bourbon. This is a well balanced whiskey cask aged cider. Want to cellar a bottle to try next year.

Stamped 28412, I’m guessing the 284th day of 2012 this was bottled.HopTsing (575) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Appearance: The appearance is cloudy with lots of sediment in suspension, it looks like a farm pressed cider with a dark amber body.
Aroma: On the pour a strong aroma of fresh cider rose to my nose. On my first sniff I was able to pick up some bourbon along with the cider. On my second sniff I pick up some banana, vanilla and perhaps cinnamon. This is very complex, slightly sweet but slightly dry, the Irish stout yeast shows some characteristics here. This is just wonderful on the nose.
Taste: Whoa, this is very cool. A slightly sweet apple juice lays the base for a very complex overlying blend of flavors. Vanilla and a touch of banana compliment the fruity apple during the mid-taste that hints at bourbon and oak. The finish touches on the bourbon a little bit with dry apple and oak flavors on the finish leaving bourbon on the tongue and down the throat, but only slightly.
Palate: Medium bodied, juice like, with light carbonation.
Overall: This is one of the best things I’ve drank in a long time. I’m new to ciders but this is impressing me so very much. I may look back on this rating and laugh in the future as I try more ciders, but right now this is an eye opening experience for me.
From the bottle came a cloudy yellow cider with very little head. Aromas of whisky and apples. Light bodied with flavors of apples and lightly oaked and a hint of bourbon. shadey (2152) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Had this on tap at the East Nashville Beer Festival. Beautiful cloudy pour like their other offerings. Obvious floating bits swirl on the top of the tasting glass. Aromas of honey. Sweet, but not sticky and with a perfect dry finish. These guys certainly know what they are doing. dcschiller (2211) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 8, 2013
Pours cloudy yellow/straw with no head. Aroma is sour, fermented apple, light bourbon. Taste is tart and sweet apple with a hint of bourbon. Sweet, but not owerpowering in the least. Slightly dry finish. Acutally, this is quite nice. Loads of flavor for the ABV.

Pours slightly cloudy yellow/gold. Aroma is apples, bourbon, and sugar. Flavor is apples, honey, bourbon, and a little alcohol. Very interesting and unique. dimenhetfield (2554) - , Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2012
12oz bottle poured into glass. This has to be one of the best ciders I’ve ever tasted, or somewhere in my top 5. There’s definitely a little bit of lingering whiskey barrel flavor alive in this bad boy, along with apple and spice flavor. A real treat! I don’t like ciders generally. This is in a class by itself. Intriguing, notes of whiskey, peach, vanilla and Sake, though nearly flat from the bottle is tart and refreshing. It is the first cider I have willingly bought, and knowingly sought out. Special and worth seeking.
