I can see what they’re trying to do, but somehow the concept and execution seem off. Color is a rusty apple. Aroma is smoky apples. Flavor’s is boozy apples. Were they trying to make a cider version of applejack? Its not exactly bad, but I don’t want anymore. slowrunner77 (13203) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 22, 2014
"really enjoy the moderate whiskey notes in an apple cider/wine. a little alcohol showsa in this, but really that’s the only fault. otherwise, sweet & tart apply-delicious goodness. One of the better ciders I’ve had..."

bottle. hazy golden with very small head. i prefer the stagger lee to this one. dry and tart, slight whiskey. just tastes a bit old or stale. not bad, but could be much better. Travlr (26406) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUL 14, 2013
Bottle. Clear golden color, few bubbles. Aroma of apples, pear. Taste is similar with a bit of tannin. OK. Kobal (64) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 17, 2013
This cider is a cloudy orange, almost gold, with little carbonation. Woody apple is the most noticeable scent, but notes of red wine and roses show up also. Body is crisp, clean and refreshing. Taste starts with the same woody apple as the nose and also has floral touches and hints of starchy root vegetable. In the end, apple is one of the lesser players in flavor, but there’s lots of interest with whiskey, woody spice and almost airy mustiness.

Not one of the better Crispins, unfortunately. Tastes like prunes! Pass on it...

12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden color that resembles real apple cider. The whiskey tones done the sweetness that some of the ciders have. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2012
Bottle. Oaky, musty apple, light whiskey aroma. Hazy honey gold, fizzy white skiff of bubbles. Oak, light booze, and musty apple flavor. Light fizzy body, dry finish. Different, but I like it. weihenweizen (4204) - Charleston, West Virginia, USA - OCT 5, 2012
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours clear light amber, very little head, no lacing, no carbonation, and light wood aroma. Taste is oak, some water down soft whiskey, and a hint of apple which peaks out occationally. A little more apple taste would have been nice, not my thing. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2011
