No doubt this will be nice in the hot cuban sun. But apart from that, it is a watery and boring beer.

Can thanks to Amy & Mark. Thin white head disappears quickly, no lacing. Clear golden body. Nose of cereal and straw. Flavour is straw, malt, biscuit. Medium carbonation, clean mouthfeel. Standard lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Thnx to Ben. Pours very clear blonde. small white head. Smell is sweet, chemicals, apples - but not by far in a good way. Taste is bitter, damn chemical, harsh maltsyrup comming across as rather stale, chemical , chemical ( did I say chemical ) and not fresh. Finish is chemical, bit sweet. The mild bitterness it has is chemical, and fades instantly. So yeah, pretty bad. Almost as bad as AB-INB... oh wait... what a surprise --’

It’s because of the weather associated with this the score is what it is. Clear yellow, white foam and it smells and taste like cheap beer. (Havana 201701)

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden with a thin lacing head. Aroma is malt, grass and a little straw. Taste is really malty with a hint of straw and citrus. Not too gassy. Standard Pale lager

Green skunk bottle. Pours pale yellow with a medium white foam subsiding fast. Scent is skunky, odorous lager. Metal. Taste is light tin notes and otherwise quite like water. Finish is empty. Poor.

355ml Can in Santa Clara, Cuba (30 pesos):
Quite a basic & fairly poor lager but not unlike what I was expecting going in really & at least it wasn’t offensive or off-putting. There was a few skunky touches early on but for the most part the beer featured the usual corn, hay & basic adjunct flavours but not much else. It was easy to drink throughout though, probably due to the heat in Cuba & as such I can’t imagine it’s one I’d have again if I were in the UK & it was more readily available here.

Poured bright golden with a thin frothy head which promptly disappeared. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavour is of sweet, innofensive malt with not much aftertaste

Appearance: clear straw with a thin, short-lived white head, no lacing. (2/5) Aroma: grainy pale malt, adjunct sweetness, grassy, light skunk. (3/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter. (4/10) Medium-light watery body, moderate carbonation, sweetish short duration finish. (2/5) All I can say is, it’s a damn sight better when you’re drinking it before noon on a hot beach. If anything, I may be being generous in the rating here. (7/20)

Can to tulip I’ve been waiting to drink this one for months. Not in eager anticipation, but because every other beer that’s rotated through my cellar has been so much more appealing. This has sat in the fridge too long, so tonight I drink, perhaps just to taste, before emptying this tulip and filling it with a spontancherry. My reward for forcing such a shitty brew onto my palate. Consummation: Oh wow...it’s apple, then wheat, then corn. I kid you not...every sip of this caused me to hiccup. That’s truly impressive. Adjunct: Smells like lemon and apple, maybe malt; clear light yellow with a thick white head that quickly dissipates to nothingness; palate...so shitty, it causes hiccups
