June 2017 - Bottle share at 1 Canada Square. Big thanks to the bois. As ’Croce di Malto Piedi Neri’, 8.7%. Opaque black with a foamy light brown head. Aroma has lots of molasses, some dark cherry, some chocolate. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is spicy, more molasses and dark malts, dark chocolate and ash. Pretty dry and ashy actually with a spicy finish. I like the dryness. Sort of like a foreign stout rather than an imperial. Decent. Sweet, dark, toasted malts, oak, caramel, chocolate. Hazy black, small, creamy, beige, head. Medium sweet. More dark chocolate, cacao, dark toasted malts, light spices, soft carbonation, full bodied. Locale, Copenhagen - black pour with beige head and lacing. Roasted and sweet malty with notes of chocolate, caramel, some nice spices, roasted malty into the close. Lovely.

42nd floor beer share. Thanks to Colin. Opaque black - brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Decent dark chocolate laden malts. Little dry malt cream, The dark chocolate turns slightly bitter. Some bourbon biscuit before the dry finish. Not bad at all.
Bottle shared on Level 42 14/06/2017. Many thanks to Colin for this one. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting fine tan head. Aroma is waxy oily, powdery choc, cinnamon, toasted coconut, woody, pencil shavings. Earthy choc. Palate is woody, earthy, semi sweet, moderate carbonation... . Good.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloin. Pours black-brown with a bubbly, tan head. The nose holds moderate roast, dry milk choclate, ash. Medium sweet flavour with more rounded, deep coco! faint espresso, scorched earth. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish with bittersweet chocolate, pleasant roast, some leathery, dried berries. Very good stuff. Dark black with a decent tan cap that retains well.
Nose is rich malts, spice, booze tunes, fruit loaf, tangy dark fruits.
Taste comprises light roast, black peppery spice, chocolate, toffee, earthy, dirt, grains, soy xauce.
Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with a light alcohol kick.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2017 Bottle at L42. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, chalky charred wood, ash, char, dark chocolate, tar, treacle and earth. The taste is dry, charred, roasted malt, earthy, roasty, dark chocolate, slick, oily, tarry, umami and liquorice with a drying finish. Full bottle and moderate carbonation. Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Opaque black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, prunes and alcohol. Very sweet, chocolate, caramel, licorice, molasses, quite boozy. Medium-bodied. A bit too sweet and alcoholic.
