Cask at Craft Beer Co - Islington on 17th November 2012. Deep ruby with creamy coloured head and lacing especially at first. Rich fruity roasty aroma with coffee. Intense coffee flavours and roastiness in-mouth. Rich coffee and fruitiness meet in a pleasant finish, on a slightly grainy texture and medium body. Lovely beer.
From the tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black with coffee cream colored foam, fine. Aroma is intense, with significant notes of coffee and toasted. Body is relatively dense, with funny carbonation in the mouth. Taste is weak in sweetness, with mild bitterness govern by the roasted, still rather coffeeish. Final is relatively short and with some residual toasted feeling. Wixie (589) - BELGIUM - JUN 21, 2017

Pint @ CASC, Aberdeen.

500ml bottle. Black pour with a tan head which doesn’t last too long. Aroma: coffee, roasted malt, smoke. Taste: same as the aroma, also some smokey/burnt notes, dark burnt fruits. Smooth palate, bitter but less so than I expected, dryish finish, medium body. Liked it but nothing special for me. rodsquad (243) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - DEC 1, 2016
Bottle from Oddbins Rosemount. Aroma of treacle and roasted coffee beans. It pours dark, dark brown with a toffee foamy head. Warming treacle malts with an impressive hit of dark roast beans. Palate was not as rich as I was expecting (hoping) with a thinner feel and gentle sparkle. I am loving these coffee stouts and Cromarty’s offering has done nothing to dampen my enthusiasm. Lovely. Pours a really dark brown almost black with a small tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is much the same. Dry finish with a medium body. Overall a nice beer but was hoping for a more fuller body to it. ianwelby (1387) - SCOTLAND - MAY 21, 2016
Black beer, brown head that reduced from being quite thick to thin and filmy. Bitter, coffee aroma. Bitter coffee in the taste as well, though there’s a touch of fruit up front to lend it a bit of sweetness and in the aftertaste there’s a slightly creamy quality. Nice rich, earthy stout. larsga (7540) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 1, 2016
Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy mealy cold coffee aroma. Sweet earthy cold coffee taste with resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel, slightly flat. Dryish roasty fruity aftertaste with earthy mealy notes. A little bit lacking in bitterness. Nice, though. (0.5l bottle, from odd bins, Edinburgh.)
