Beer Festival 2012. Brilliant name for a beer. Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, caramelly, mild toffee as well as some spruce and mild ripe fruity notes as well. Flavour is nutty, some ripe fruity sweetness along with mild spruce, floral notes as well as some slight grassyness in the finish. Refreshing.
Direct from the brewery. Copper coloured with a thin ring of white head; slightly earthy, hoppy aroma; rather thin body with some fruity malts and a touch of apple; and a pleasantly dry, long-lasting bitter finish. imdownthepub (14557) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - SEP 3, 2010
Cask conditioned gravity dispensed at Harbury Beer Fest 10. Brown with off white head. Fruity malty type bitter with a touch of overripe plummy tartness in the body. Some finishing bitterness but not enough for balance. DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2010

Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, damp-stained, light hoppy, grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (020508)
Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Mid brown colour, with a ruby tint. Big, rich, fruity malt aroma. More juicy fruit on the palate, with touches of chocolate and liquorice too. Spicy hops come through strongly to produce an admirably balanced beer that packs more flavour and body than its modest strength would suggest. First beer from this brewery, and impressed I was.

Recently took 2 firkins of this beer for our summer party. The beer is packed full of flavour and has a good malt and hop taste. I would highly recommend this beer. Lovely light drinking bitter. maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - MAY 1, 2006
Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Reading BF. A dark brown coloured beer with a ruby hue. The aroma is malty with berry fruits. The taste also has berries and malt. A slight woody character and a good body. A nice starter. kook (2033) - Perth, Western Australia, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2006

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2006 Sep 06Gravity Cask @ Royal Oak Beer Festival 2006, Fritham (New Forest). The beers were running out so I revisited this. Nutty crystal and dark toffee with toasty malts. Not too my taste today. 2.8
