From the tap. Poured black, little head, the usual stout story. Maybe it was just my own sensitivities, but this was practically like drinking a coffee with some alcohol in it. Obviously there was more to it than that - roasted malts and chocolate were definitely present - but it was pleasantly coffee dominant. Clear dark black colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, brunt, ash, smoke notes. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
