Danish: Kraftig humlet red ale med sødelig smag og aroma fra rugen som hjælper til at afbalancere øllet. Kraftige toner af amerikanske humler. Brygget med Simcoe, Amarillo og Chinook. Tørhumlet med Simcoe.

English: Hoppy red ale brewed with three different malt types and heavily hopped with American hops, which provides balance between the dark malts and the bitterness. The result is an easy drinkable beer that calls for one more.

([email protected], rated 2011-07-22) Hazy, darkish brown with a small, lasting head. Berry-ryeish-malty, aromatic-american-hoppy nose. Lots of (aroma) hops and berryish maltiness in the flavor, with a faint bitterness biting in the finish. Quite full body considering the ABV, yet also quite tingly carbonated. A very tasty red ale, if you care about the style.

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Dark brown, small and mostly diminishing head. Moderate, malty and sweetish aroma, some fruitiness and caramel, faint citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, caramel and fruitiness, faint citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, caramel and some citrus hoppyness. Quite dry amber ale with some bitter hoppyness - still it is (only) a brown ale.

Draught @ Olutravintola Pikkulintu
Rather light aroma has some nuts. Flavour has suprising amount of hops, causing the taste of exotic, aged fruits. Also some nuts. The hops cause a bit dryish palate. Rather hoppy and dry for an amber ale, too nutty and woody for me.

Pours a dark amber colour with a small, white, thick head. Aroma of sweet berries and floral hops. Flavour of sweet malts, floral hops, sweet berries and some nuts. Medium bodied with a sweet, berry-like finish. A bit too sweet for me but I love the bitterness here.

Deep amber color, steady creamy beige head, lace. Bready, berryish aroma. Medium-bodied. Berryish, bready flavor. Some caramel. Typical "Danish flavors" in this brew. Way too bready and berryish.

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20110724) The beer poured brown with red shading and clear. Its head was medium sized and very lightly brown. Aroma had hops, fruitiness, caramell, pine and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were hops, malts, roasted malts, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, hoppy and bitter. Nice and a bit musty beer.
