12 ounce can bought at Brennans Brookfield, Wisconsin. Drank at smells home. Some what roasted aromas. Medium body, smooth. No sweetness. Very drinkable porter. Above average, overall. Drake (14332) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 16, 2017
Can from Brennan’s Brookfield. Holy infection, Batman! Gusher. Pours mostly a large, dense foamy head that eventually settles dark brown. Aroma of roast, plastic and bandaids. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, smoke, cherries. Medium bodied. A shame, seems like it was quite good. poisoneddwarf (2687) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - OCT 16, 2016
Bomber from the grocery store. Aroma is dark bread crust, lots of roast, dark chocolate. Pours black with cola brown edges and a medium beige head that falls after a minute, leaving a little lace. Taste is roasty, lightly sweet, finishing lightly bitter and dry. Flavors of roasted malt, light chocolate. Tasty stuff. Nicely done and well-executed, but it’s not pushing any boundaries or anything. mcberko (19803) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 2, 2016
On tap at Crooked Fence Barrelhouse, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, dry cocoa and earthy coffee grounds. Flavour is very dry, with earthy coffee grounds and toasted malt. Dry and earthy. Decently made but nothing special. AWISLguy (3419) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 16, 2016
12oz can from Brennans in Oconomowoc. Very dark brown pour with a beige head. Aroma has bakers chocolate & caramel. Taste is of cocoa, caramel, bakers chocolate, light lactose. Light roast. Medium bodied, the blend is solid, carbonation is good and little alcohol presence. Bone dry. A hint of fruit. Finishes sweeter than bittersweet. A very solid tasty brew 14

Murky brown with a taller, somewhat rocky light tan head. Dry lightly roasted malt scents. Dry start with some cocoa and lightly roasted malts and coffee. Really quite easy to drink. Smooth to nearly dull in feel. Finishes with a light ash and roasted malt bitterness.

Short lasting dark tan head leaves little in the way of a cap, The brew isn’t exactly black... instead a sorta muddy dark brown.... Cocoa and light toast with a weird yeasty fruitiness.. Okay mouthfeel, but a weird slickness comes with warmth.. A bit buttery.. Been a while since I had one of these and I remember liking it a lot more.. 12oz can. Brown black body, respectable beige off-white/beige head. Medium bodied, not much depth of body. Mellow chocolate and coffee notes, pleasant creamy roast finish. Not much going on, pretty boring offering. The amber malt shines through, giving it slight berry touches.
