Bomber bottle, waxed, poured. Such a foaming gusher here, and it is unfortunate to say that it tried it’s best to take away from what I noticed to be a very compelling flavor profile. Fizzy foam spill over upon opening, and the foam would last all night if we left it. Somebody poured a bottle of soap in the water fountain again. Cola pour, slightly metallic, rich milk chocolate aroma with a hint of mixed berry. An adequate amount of red raspberry sweetness to compliment the roasted malt bill. A well balanced flavor throughout, and lingering berry reminder. This beer could be great, with a minor tweak here and there. Unfortunately, it’s the science part holding it back. Still a good beer, and really hope they redo this idea in the future. Nice. luttonm (6661) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 9, 2016
Bottle in Seattle. Thanks Andrew. Crazy gusher, with super heavy exploding tan foam. Just won’t die. What I can get of the aroma is very nice, some solid roast with red fruity overtones. Body is destroyed by the carb issues, but the flavors are there. Solid roast and mild tart fruit, seems like they’re nicely in balance. But its very hard to get through the bottle problems. Seems like we’re not the only ones with this issue at this point, bummer. Strykzone (7586) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 12, 2016
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Huge Gusher! Seemed like it would never stop. Very dark beer with a tan head. Seemingly eternal retention. Huge raspberry aroma with a little chocolate. The flavor begins with more chocolate than berry. Later a little zest is noticed and the finish is almost like a raspberry sherbert ice cream. Really easy to drink and nicely balanced. Better than others of its genre. I would LOVE this except for that gushing foam. hayduke (5619) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 12, 2016
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. This was a gusher upon opening. So iI started out with a glass of foam. The head retention was amazing so I had a glass of foam for about 10 minutes. When I finally got some beer to look at it was pretty much dark brown, almost black. The head it tan. Light to medium body and a very smooth mouth feel. Nose is raspberry and candy chocolate. Flavor is first the raspberry and then the chocolate. Good balance though. Finished with raspberry zest if there is such a thing. Drink easily and is enjoyable. . the brew is dark dark brown, but a little bit of ruby appears near the stem-end of my glass... light brown head doesn’t stick around for too long, but decent lacing persists.
The nose delivers on both the chocolate and raspberry front.... Plenty of both. I would guess the base beer is a lighter flavored porter or even a brown ale. Most malt character is blown out by the raspberry flavors... the fruit seems artificial and one dimensional.
Flavor mirrors the nose with a lingering fake raspberry/chocolate cordial essence on the finish.
Body is a bit heavier than medium and carbonation is a touch light.

Tap @ CF Barrelhouse. Pours a deep brown color, topped with a thin beige head. Nose is mild... Roast, coco, and faint raspberries. More ’umph’ in the taste and more emphasis on chocolate covered raspberries. Really a nice surprise, but I realized the base beer is Augustus and that’s been my favorite CF brew so far. I’d certainly drink this again. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - APR 29, 2014
Bottle. Pours an extremely dark brown color with a fairly thick tan head on there. Nose has some slight chocolate to it, but is overwhelmed by raspberry notes to it. Taste is remarkably light and awfully fruity, with just a hint of roasting and chocolate to it. Not bad, but not my style. jtclockwork (17101) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 4, 2014
Bottle thanks to Prufrockstar. Pours very dark brown/black with tan head. Nose and taste of raspberry, dark chocolate, roast chocolate, roast coffee and earth. Medium body. Great balance with the chocolate upfront developing into a raspberry cordial finish. IndianaRed (4941) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle Dark brown and a thin fleeting head. Warm malty arom of dark chocolate malts and cherries. Nice cherry flavor late, but not sour. Cherry cordial, dare I say? Not bad.

Bottle: Dark brown with a tan ring head. Malty choco aroma with nuts, mild molasses and unbuttered popcorn. Tangy bitter chocolate flavor and you can taste the cherries in the aftertaste. Fairly thin body and feel. Not bad.
