22oz bottle thanks to Matt. Pours out light gold/copper topped with a small white ring of a head. Floral hop aroma some sweetness. Tast a little thin some sweet malts a pretty strong bitter end.

On tap at Crooked Fence Barrelhouse, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out biscuity malt and aggressive floral hops. Flavour brings out lots of floral hops, a touch of pine and biscuity malt. Reasonably well-balanced, with a dry piney finish. Solid.

12oz can from Brennan’s in Oconomowoc. Orange pour with an off-white head. Nose leads with pine and stone fruits. Some orangey citrus. Taste is of strong stone fruit, pine and chewy resin. Quite dry. Body is medium. Blend is not too good. Little alcohol presence and carbonation is solid. Finishes mixed between bitter and sweet, but blah. The flavors never come together in this one. More of an older style of a pale, but this is not even a good representative of that. 12.2

Dark golden color with a taller off-white head. Very mild malt and light hops, mostly citric to piney. Quite dry from the start. Some grass and herbal hops. Needs more malt backbone for me. A light pale ale. 9/15

Aptly named. Deep dark red-amber, eggshell colored head; nose of malt and maybe I’m missing the hops here; malt-forward nicely balanced with light lingering bitter finish--playfully imagine a rusty nail through the lightness of body, easy astringency, and what remains on the sides of your tongue. Enjoyed with a garlicky pasta salad for an early summer lunch.

off white head.... good retention and lacing... the brew is a hazed amber... not the right color... but let’s hope the smell and taste are more in the wheelhouse. Nose is "hoppy", I guess... but instead a toasty malt aroma dominates with with bits of caramel that seem out of place.. hops sorta fall flat. Decent hop bitterness... a bit of hoppiness mid palate that gets drowned by out by the malt character... again pretty heavy toast and some lesser caramel.... I guess I get a bit of floral hops... but I could be wrong. Body is thick for a low abv pale... needs work... and honestly very expensive.... I will not revisit.

12oz can. A pretty straight up APA, fresh and drinkable enough. Slightly hazy amber tan brown body. Foamy off white head. Respectably hopped, in a sort of classical way...in other words no new school tropical tones or any of that. Solid offering overall, teeting into IPA territory.

Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange amber color with a one finger head of thin white foam. The head fades relatively quickly leaving just a trace of wispy lace on the sides of the glass Smell – The aroma is rather bready and fruity with the fruit being a mix of orange and tangerine. Along with these aromas comes some light yeast smells as well as a good showing of a grapefruit and pine hop smell. Taste – The taste begins with a rather dry cracker/bready taste mixed with a little hint of caramel. Right from the start there is a decent showing of a grapefruit hop taste with this getting stronger as the taste advances. A pine works its way onto the tongue toward the middle to the end of the taste ramping up the overall hop taste rather well. With the yeastiness that was detected in the nose coming at the end of the taste, one is left with a rather drier and fairly nicely hopped flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather thin and light for a pale of 5.5 % abv with a carbonation level that is a bit on the higher side. For the drier tastes of the malt and the hop blend of grapefruit and pine the feel of the brew is quite nice overall. Overall – A nice drier pale ale with a good hop hit. A good brew overall.

Clear amber with a big white head. Aroma of wet green hops. Taste is floral and light caramel. A nice ipa, clean.

Pours hazy amber, short head. Aroma is light citrus hop and a little malt. Taste has a good body, a little off flavor in the bitterness. Very drinkable otherwise.
