Tap at the barrel cellar - cloudy gold - frothy head - nose has a nice mix of mild spice (nutmeg, all spice), earthy squash (pumpkin, butternut) and earthy yeast funk - all are mild but well-integrated - soft carbonation - full mouthfeel - flavor is much like the aroma - very nice integration of spices, earthy squash, and mild funkiness - I really enjoyed this - when Chad nails it, he really nails it - too bad beers like this are few and far between.

Pours slightly reddish. Aroma: brett funky aroma, cherries. Taste: pretty light sourness coupled with cherry.

Poured into a tall tulip, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange almost brown color with a two finger white foamy head that quickly dissipates. Mild filmy lacing. The aroma started off with some dank grass, vinous notes, sour fruit, oak, and citrus. The flavor leaned towards the sour to vinous fresh notes with some lingering bready notes. Sly wheaty/graininess. Vinous aftertaste. Dry sticky vinous finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt good. Overall, vinous sour saison, good for what it is, and I could have again.

PhillyCraft (7229) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 30, 2016

Sample @ Charleston Brewvival 2015. Amber pour with a small head. Nose is full of medicinal herb. Vaguely smoky tea. Some licorice. Light citrus fruits. Flavor has a burst of mandarin orange. Fruity and a bit tart. Mild funky herbal character. Medium body, pillowy carbonation.

This was my first time trying crooked stave. Not bad for a sour. This was only my second time trying a sour. It was a vinegary sour. Very smooth would buy again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is full of rosemary, oranges, grass and oregano. The flavor is fairly herbaceous. I get a lot of oregano, basil and rosemary, with a dash of cinnamon and oranges. There is some light tartness and some sweetness from the biscuit malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Experiment_Ale (1098) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 6, 2015
At home on a Tuesday night after training, instead of studying like I need to. Pours orange bright with a little cloud. Aroma is lemon vest refreshing floral. Taste is fresh sparkling citrus with nice brett balance. I beautiful fresh beer, really like it
