12 oz can, bottom says method roasters the madness. Pours dark brown with a medium creamy dark brown head that retains well and laces the glass some.Concealer (1285) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 5, 2018
The aroma is a bit subdued - sweet chocolate malt and roast coffee.
The flavor is some sweet lactose and chocolate malt with heavy charred burnt roast coffee. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with creamy carbonation.
Overall, nice but a bit too much char.
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2018 Can. Clear dark reddish brown with a thick, creamy, tan head that lasts and laces. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, light biscuit/toasted malts and charcoal. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and light dark fruit. Medium bodied, smooth with a dry, roasty finish. hayayoshi (32) - Colorado, USA - JAN 3, 2018
From a can. Thick Porter with lots of roasted coffee coming from the aroma and taste. It's a little too much roast for me personally but it has a good consistency on the palate. williamstome (2102) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2017
Black pour, small tan head. Great coffee aroma, taste follows with lots of milk chocolate. Medium body. Really fantastic. drjay44 (3955) - Salida, Colorado, USA - NOV 29, 2017
12 oz. can. 8.5% ABV per the label. Pours a thick, slowly collapsing, dark beige head, with Belgian curtain lacing, over a clear dark brown (SRM 35) body.....nose is mild coffee, cocoa, dried fruit including plum, toffee/caramel......taste is lightly sweet, with dried fruit tones including raisin, plum, also light toffee/caramel, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, finishing with minimal hop bitterness, balance to the malts and coffee.......mouth feel, medium sticky body, moderate alcohol warmth. low carbonation. The coffee, was done with a light enough hand to make this meet the basic, Baltic Porter style quite nicely. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

6 pack of cans from Mr. B's. This is a really dark beer, basically black with a small almost brown head. Coffee is there in nose, and in genuine fashion, but I could honestly use a little more aroma. I don't know if it's just the massive base beer covering up some of the coffee nuances or what. Good roast, mild dark fruity notes, a touch of alcohol, and earth come through. The body is big and slick with just a hint of burn. Good carbonation level on this one, it's barely on the lower end and suits the flavor well. The coffee beans stand out a bit more in the flavor, particularly after chewing on the finish for a minutes. It's not very astringent, which is nice. Good chocolatey balance from the malts and just medium bitterness. A touch of plum suggestions lurks. I really like the use of coffee here, but after reading how much Crooked Stave intended it stand out, it's still a little less intense than some other beers e.g. Coffee Bender, Java Stout, Wake n Bake, etc. Very well balanced and flavorful beer here though. Good stuff. MrTipple (7490) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 15, 2017
Intense, dark roast coffee, dark, roasted malts, slightly charred. Very dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. More sweet, very strong coffee, sweet, dark malts, dark chocolate, cacao, soft carbonation, full bodied. Beautiful Baltic Porter, rich and intense. Keg at The Source, Denver. Sample at The Source. Brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Roasted coffee, malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with flavors of roast coffee, malt, dark chocolate and a touch of hops. The finish is roasty with an espresso aftertaste. Pretty good all around.
