COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado Mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state and the even larger Western Region of the US, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with the backcountry in mind, Colorado WildSage is dominated by a bright floral aroma, soft herbal notes and a crisp Brettanomyces bite from primary fermentation and further bottle conditioning with our house mixed yeast culture. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2017) Hazy golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty, floral nose with notes of citrus, bread, sage and spices. Malty, herbal taste with bread, grass, sage, spices and a sweetish finish with low bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite spicy and herbal. Interesting. Quite nice.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy goden with a thick white head. Super funky, brett up front, barnyard, strong farmhouse character, lemony fresh fruits, sage, dusty grass, herbal sweetness. Medium sweet, under medium tartness. Medium body & carbonation. Funky, crisp, pleasant.

Piękny rześki aromat: cytrusy wymieszane z kwasem i lekkimi ziołami. W smaku wytrawne, rześkie, kwas na wysokim poziomie, cytrusowe, zakończone fajnym ziołowym posmakiem. Bardzo pijalne i dobre piwo.

Bottle enjoyed at home
Golden hazy, big beige head. Smell of sage, funk, lemongrass, barnyard, oak, light malts. Quite inviting with high complexity. Light sweet, some tartness, moderate acids, funk, spicy sage, lemongrass, complex and tasty. Moderate bitter finish. The lemongrass and sage makes wonders in this great beer

Pretty classic crooked stave right here, pours a yellow golden color with a finger of white foam. Nose is a mix of musty funk, pineapple, light stonefruit and citrus rind. Palate follows with a bit of peppery herbaceous nuance. Dry and funky, good carbonation and mouthfeel.

Perhaps the most funky aroma from CS that I have had. A bit of sage, but farmhouse character dominates. Quaffable.
