Nice hazy yellow. Barnyard brett nose. Taste is nice barnyard and funky farmhouse, kind of exactly how I like it. Fruity and hoppy. Drinks nice and relatively smooth. Dry apple peel bitter finish.

This isn’t a patch on the New Zealand McLeods 5 Brett Fresh Hopped IPB if I was being harsh and I am. This is however a brilliant looking beer, unfiltered brilliance, pours lovely, The ’brett’ is around the right level but it still swamps anything the hops might have had to offer. Rare as rare thing in NZ I’m stoked to have found this, not so impressed with the beer though. You can’t like every beer.

On tap at As Is. Pours a hazy gold. Medium bodied. Mix of yeast, hops and a little sour flavor. Pretty nice.

My Bottom Line:
Peppery brettanomyces wilderness meets citrusy hops and their juiciness in this cuddly, refined Wild IPA.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A slice of foam laces nicely around the hazy golden.
-The finish is the meeting of delicate hop resins and tropical fruit juice.
-Drinkability is quite high because of the dryness, fruitiness and moderate flavour intensity.
-Floral notes add depth to the flavour profile.

Bottle. Hazy orange beer with large, creamy, white head. Aroma of barnyard, grass, citrus, citrus peel, notes of grape, lemon. Taste is very light sweet, light+ sour and bitter, citrus, orange, lemon, citrus peel, grape, barnyard, light leather. Slightly tangy and bitter finish with notes of funk and citrus. Light to medium body, average carbonation. Very interesting, complex and palatable.

Restrained aroma in a yellow gold pour. Lovely hop-malt balance provides an excellent stage for the undisputed star of this brew - the brett.

tapefuzz (827) - Massachusetts, USA - AUG 11, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2017 Draught. Pours a hazy, slightly opaque pale gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is tart; floral hops, some earth, yeast, and apple. Fairly hoppy aroma. Taste is lightly tart; Brett-y earth, floral hops, funk, and green apple. Medium body. Average carbonation. Fluffy almost creamy mouthfeel.

From a can. Pours a hazy honey-gold and makes a thick head with lacing rings all the way down the glass. Aroma of juicy fresh hops and pale malts. Tastes of malted barley, juicy citrusy hops and a truly unique yeast profile. Yum! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
