Farewell Jack bottleshare at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Bill & Paul. Hazy plummy red beer, small pale pink head. Palate is light and dry, modest fine carbonation. Mild bretty savoury vibe. Just a mild lemony sourness here which allows the mellow blackberry to come through. A slightly tarter finish. Pleasant.

Leighton (21551) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2015
Bottle shared in London to honour JackL’s departure. Thanks to Paul for this sour sauce. Pours hazy pink-purple with a fluffy white head. Funky berry aroma, with some lemony undertones. Light sweet flavor with strong berry tartness, lemon, some bitter berry skins, soft funk. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish, with more berry skins, mellow mustiness, slight acidic bite. Very nice beer.

mcberko (18104) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 1, 2014
375mL bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a clear ruby red with a small beige head. Aroma brings out potent tart blackberries and some brett. Flavour is very similar, though the brett is perhaps more dominant than the nose suggests. Super fruity, jammy, and fairly bretty. Highly drinkable and enjoyable.

brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 12, 2016
Bottle @ Home. Thanks, Jake. Nice purple sort of color with a thin layer of off-white foam. Smells really funky and has a good jammy, berry nose. The flavor is super tannic and almost astringent. A bunch of wood, some fruit skins, grass, and chalk. A fair bit of tartness. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy purple with no head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong brett and blackberry, oak. Thin mouthfeel with sour blackberry and light brett with lingering dry finish. Really enjoyed this one off.

Scopey (15010) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 16, 2015
Bottle thanks to Bill, shared at Craft Clerko. It pours hazy purple with a small off-white head. The nose is soft, very juicy, blackberry, jam, tangy, dirty, pungent farmyard, funky and earthy brett. The taste is juicy, tangy blackcurrant, jam, Ribena, sherbet, wood, vinous, tart green apple and lemon rind with a dry, tangy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very juicy and rather quaffable. Tasty.
