2013 At the crooked stave tasting. Pours dark, peachy red. Smell is funky, oak, not as sour as other crooked stave. Taste is unintense, wattery, not really tasty. Perhaps some of the tastes have dissapeared ? Not very enthusiastic about this.

37.5 cl bottle at Koelship. Pours clear and golden deep amber to purple. Small off white head. Aroma is wooden and berry fruity. Citric, fruity, slight wooden. Mild leathery bretty. Dry, sourish. Fruity and sourish finish.

Bottle @ Home. Thanks, Jake. Nice purple sort of color with a thin layer of off-white foam. Smells really funky and has a good jammy, berry nose. The flavor is super tannic and almost astringent. A bunch of wood, some fruit skins, grass, and chalk. A fair bit of tartness. Not bad.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06 pour light hazy ruby purple copper with thin white head. Nose tart funk, Brett, blackberry, light wood, with the underlying funk of a dirty jock strap. Taste tart up front, then berries and light wood. Slightly funky fruit and tart finish, hint of jolly ranchers. Reasonable but just not my thing.

Reddish pour with a white head. The aroma has a bit of brett funk with some juicy raspberries and blackberries. The flavor has the same fruit notes with the addition of some toffee and leathery notes from the brett. There are some nice funky notes, but the fruit still stands out. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle shared in London to honour JackL’s departure. Thanks to Paul for this sour sauce. Pours hazy pink-purple with a fluffy white head. Funky berry aroma, with some lemony undertones. Light sweet flavor with strong berry tartness, lemon, some bitter berry skins, soft funk. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish, with more berry skins, mellow mustiness, slight acidic bite. Very nice beer.

Taste comprises more tarte berry notes, brett more prominent than on the nose, light spice, oaky tone, blackberries. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid bretted #

Farewell Jack bottleshare at Craft Clerkenwell. Thanks to Bill & Paul. Hazy plummy red beer, small pale pink head. Palate is light and dry, modest fine carbonation. Mild bretty savoury vibe. Just a mild lemony sourness here which allows the mellow blackberry to come through. A slightly tarter finish. Pleasant.
