Tasting at Chez Bruce. Thanks to Bruce. Very light haze on this pale gold beer. Small bubbly white head. Light crisp palate, slightly dry. Very slight soapy note. Minerally lemon. Bitter floralness. Light dry finish. The sourness burns a little after the swallow.
Dry hopped version on tap at BeerTemple. Slightly hazy golden color. Aroma of dusty, peppery, floral meadows. Taste has dusty straw, lemon, white pepper. Delicious. Leighton (21239) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 28, 2014
Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours mostly clear, orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Great aroma, lots of pale wood, peach, lemon. Light sweet flavor with some grass, lemon rind, a bit of rubber, soft funk. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly sweet to finish, oily, with more citrus, light rubber, hints of tart lemon. Smells good but the flavor and texture don’t follow on that well. On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of brett upfront, some feet, and some herbal notes. Flavour is very tart and acidic, with intense ascorbic notes, lofs of tartness and subdued brett character. Harsh and difficult to drink. This one is not doing it for me.
