UPDATED: SEP 1, 2017 BXL BeerFest 2017. Kolor czarny, nieprzejrzysty. Piana jasno brązowa, niska i nietrwala. Aromat palony, słodki, wyróżnić należy lukrecję, kawę i ciemne owoce.

375 ml. bottle shared by. AdamChandler. Almost pitch black. Aroma is almost exclusively vinegar and funk. Oh boy.... Yeah, the flavor is huge balsamic vinegar and dirty socks. Harsh sharp purcker in the finish. Awful. Overly harsh. Wow, this brewery has gone to hell recently. People enjoy this crap?

375ML. has a purplish hue to the brown beer. no head. smells very acidic, tart, barrel. hmmm. the flavor? i actually taste Blueberry which makes me think this was a fake fruit addition? either way, it’s tasty. whiskey come through. fruity finish. solid.

375 ml bottle from Beerium, bottled Jan 2016.
Dark brown body, with a medium, fizzy, dissipating, dark beige-pink head.
Aroma of barrel, blueberries and other berries, sour fruitiness, red wine, some chocolate, some vinegar.
Tastes quite similar, with a bit more booze, but still not overpowering.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium acidic, wooden, vinous, dark fruity, subtly sweet, with lingering blueberry skin.

Tasty. Big and complex, while still quite fresh to drink. Well integrated barrel notes, not too overpowering, provoding more vinous than whisky notes. The blueberries are lovely especially in the nose and the finish. Overall not among my favourite beers by this brewery, but another very enjoyable one.

Butelka. Nos niezwykle obfity i złożony.

Black color with a nice frothy beige head. Good lacing. Looks good. Good intensity in the aroma. Fine fruity profile. Full to medium body and a smooth carbonation level. Mellow sweetness and fine acidity. Good lasting flavor with chocolate, blueberry, oak and yeast. Tasty and actually refreshing ale.

Bottle at birreria volo. Pours a dark brown, with a medium beige head. This is by far one of thenmost complex aromas in a beer ive ever enjoyed. The sourness hits you hard up front. Notes of lactic sourness, and hints of vinegar. The blueberry is surprisingly present and up front, juicy, and sweet. The barrel is earthy, and adds a lovely semi sweet whiskey, and earthy barrelmwith light vanilla, and then there is a slight maple syrup aroma lingering innthe back. The mouth feel is full andnthe carb is quite effervescent. The finish is a perfect balance of sweet blueberry and earthy, woody barrel and bourbon, with maple soaked blueberry pancakes, and the sourness kicks you innthe throat! This is incredible sour, but what baffled my mind is all these things work together in incredible harmony. I can pick them all out, individially and they all work together. Wow!

stouby (4715) - Holbæk, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2017
Draught at MBCC. Almost black with a brown head. Aroma medium+ of sour fruit and berrries, funky, barnyard, wood barrel. Flavor medium+ tart, fruity, notes of chocolate, ending dry. Medium+ body.
