375 ml bottle to snifter (January 2016 vintage, shared with the Mrs.). Looks good for the style; a fairly opaque very dark brownish blueberry skin with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells good too; like a nice, robust Flanders Red with a well-balanced blueberry presence. Tastes like it smells, but less robust, with a moderately acidic medium to medium full-bodied mouthfeel. Still, tasty.

Well blended and aged. Strong aromas and good flavors of berry, funk, oak and whiskey. Slightly tart but in a complimenting way. Nice color and medium weight.

Tap. Poured a clear reddish brown color that mostly lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy sour yeast, wood and berry aroma. Medium to full body with a tingly texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy funk & berry fruit flavor with a medium to heavy tart & sour finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

The whiskey is superceded by the very tart blueberry, and thats alright with me. Dark, hidden booze. Full mouthfeel.

Dark brownish, purple. Opaque. Tan head. Instensly sour blueberry nose. Not much else. Very sour, some sweetness. Very acidic heavy body, very long finish. Not much in the way of balance here. Oily. Good.

Sample at The Source. The beer is a dark purplish-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Stringy lacing. Aroma of blueberry, oak, yeast and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of tart blueberry, funky yeast, oaky whiskey and malt. The finish is moderately tart with a berry aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
