[ As Crooked Stave Nightmare on Brett (Cherry) 2015 ].
Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, cherry, wood, cherry stone. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, tart, wood, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
750ml bottle bought at Liquor Shed. Harvest 2016.
Pours black, small head of tannish foam. Tilting my glass, hey there's some sticky lacing.
Smells of sour cherries, Brett and oak in that order.
Taste smacks of sour cherries, oh my, barrel adds a bit of oak wood flavours. The Brett is more subdued but I can definitely say it's there. Overall, the sour sensation is very pleasing.
Fairly light bodied with adequate carbonation.
I love sour cherries but I love sour raspberries more. And Crooked Stave has accommodated me with that option... Noform (136) - Tarnowskie Góry, POLAND - DEC 22, 2017

Dissapointing Crooked Stave. Acetic acid in Aroma and Taste is so overwhelming that it pushes away all nuance and complexity. A bit of wood peeps, but for the rest, it's a mess. Nische (2774) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 16, 2017
Backlog. Dark brown with beige head. Heavy, tart cherry with some wood, vinegar. Heavily tart and sour, big and bold. Some almondy, woody, cherry pits in there too. Very nice! kraddel (9543) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - NOV 10, 2017

Clear dark brown beer, irregular aery big bubbled beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: funky, very lemony, bit of vinegar, very acidic smell. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: ridiculously acidic, so very sour, lemon juice, vinegar, some tannins, not getting much with all this acidity. Aftertaste: more vinegar, tannins, funky in a bad way, very sour and acidic, not much else. Where's the cherries? I guess the "brett" ate it all?
Fat på MBCC 2017. Vintage 2015. Smak och doft av körsbär, körsbärskärnor, trä, choklad, mörk sirap, mörka bär med toner av vinäger. Fruktig, maffig, komplex, stor sötma, intensiv syrlighet, bra balans, fin beska. Mycket gott!
