Tasted on 4/13/14 from a capped 375mL bottle from the first year of the Cellar Reserve, big thanks to Aaron Nielsen for muling for me. Pours nearly opaque dark burnt amber with a thin bubbly head coaxed out of a vigorous that actually sticks around for some time. The nose is lemon sour with some dark, candi-style malt, brown sugar, and a nice vanilla cognac oak aroma. The flavor is a the same, delicate, but complex with the same lemon sour, hint of candi and brown sugar, faint touch of vanilla oak, and even some herbal white peppercorn. The body is nearly full with nearly no carbonation, light tannin, and a long sour and herbal white peppercorn finish. fonefan (49996) - VestJylland, DENMARK - OCT 30, 2013

pour @ the festival, portland. almost clear light brown-reddish with a minimal light beige head, some retention. some caramel, slightly burnt, spices, fruitiness - partly from quad belgian candi and malts and from cognac barrels, some chocolate and clearly acetic, although not overpowering. moderate carbonation, light body - tad weak, abv incredibly well hidden, light but puckering acidity. nice. djd07 (15282) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2013
