Sample from bottle at Bobs Bar during the "Crooked Stave Hits Ohio!!!" event on 02/13/2017. Clear dark ruby color with a medium pinkish-white head that burns away steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tart berries, yeast and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of sour raspberry, currants, oak, yeast and doughy malt. The finish is tart with a lingering raspberry aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Bottle, 0.375l. Clear dark brown color with thin totally diminishing tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of raspberries, must, oak, vanilla and mild barnyard. Taste starts with tart raspberry and citrus, follows grainy, woody and by mild fruity sweetness, mouthfeel is spicy, while no bitterness present. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Raspberry fields forever...

From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Corbets house on December 21. 375 mL bottle. The pour is a weird color. There is a light amber, some pink, a little ruby, with a light tan head and a couple spots of soapy lace as it falls. The aroma is really sweet and jammy. There is a lot of dark fruit going on. Light plum, blackberry, and a hint of cherry are all present. The flavor is much more raspberry forward and I like it. There is a sweet jammy blackberry and light cherry in addition. Its not really as sour or as tart as Id care for. The mouth feel is a little thicker and softly carbonated with a lingeringly sweet fruitiness on the back end. Its pretty damn good, but too sweet to be a sour.
