Pour out of 375 mL bottle, dark black pour with thin off white head, aroma brought notes of slight off white head, aroma brought notes of citrus, orange, bread into some nice roasty, chocolatey notes, hints of coffee, slight oak as well. Taste is a mix of dark roast, coffee, chocolate, some tart vinous notes, hints of tart berry, into a bit of earth, spice, finishing chocolately, roasty, slight tart. wchesser (2190) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Tap at The Source. Light slightly cloudy brown. Nose of bitter orange, bakers cocoa, light funk. Taste is wheat base with some cocoa, dark malts, and bitter orange peel. Unique but didn’t love it....like an unsweetened Jaffa Cake with bitter marmalade. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 31, 2014
On tap at The Source. Pour is deep brown, almost black with a small tan head that quickly dissipated. Cocoa, bitter fruit peel, tart oranges, slightly toasted, bready, doughy, and floral aroma. Taste is tart oranges, cocoa nibs, coffee, roasted malt, somewhat grassy, and plums with a medium tart finish - lingering chocolate aftertaste. Medium body with high carbobation. Really weird combination. Sort-of works, but really falls flat in the end.

On tap @ Crooked Stave during the Batch #60 release. Full pour. Dark brown, somewhat hazy appearance with a tan head that doesn’t stick around very long. A lot of tropical fruity brett notes in the notes (maybe more than the other releases at their original release) along with some chalky / cocoa powder notes. Flavor has a touch of roast and a fair amount of spice from the yeast along with a bunch of pineapple and mango tropical fruity notes. Kind of cool, but I think I’d still take Spring or Summer over this.
