COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Bretta is our 100% Brettanomyces Whitebier that was just released this week! Not only is St. Bretta an evolution of Wild Wild Brett Orange, but also it will be ever-changing depending on the fresh citrus available that season. For our spring release we decided to brew St. Bretta with fresh Minneola Tangelo. Each seasonal release of St. Bretta will have a diverse range of citrus fruit added to keep the beer fresh and exciting (the summer release was brewed with blood oranges)!

2014 bottle poured into a goblet. Pours hazy gold with a bit of thin bubbly head. Aroma is awesome. Tart, funky, a bit of fresh juicy tangelo. Taste is big and super tart with tons of fresh juicy tangelo. Not overly sweet, avoids going down the sweet tarts route. Super refreshing. Gonna need to stock up on this.

Hazy yellow, lots of lacto on the nose, light brett, quite tart with pithy bitterness, Im guessing from the tangelo, relatively light body. Very refreshing, I could go back to this.

375ml bottle from some jerkoff in Colorado aka legal weed central. Fucken stoners. Pours a very light pinkish orange with almost no head. A ring clings to the glass, but thats it. Aromas of primordial soup, RNA, single celled organisms. Funky. Oaky. Dirty. Some citrus and Soma in there as well. Taste is slightly acidic but muted by the low carbonation. Just off dry. Flavors of very watered down orange juice, Tang, school lunch boxes. Punchy without being sugary. Finishes with a fine francophone cock in your ass as you squeal like the guy on Deliverance. But its not too bad because you take bigger shits than the diameter of his cock. This is good fucken beer.
DID I MENTION IT HAS A TANGELO FINSH, FFS?

Draught at Falling Rock Tap Housein Denver, on April 9 2014.
I only wrote down Crooked Stave St. Bretta, and on the online tap list for the Saison Night that wasnt on there, taking a shot it was the spring version.
Acidic, to sour taste. Cloudy apricot color, small white head. Fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Funky aftertaste. Acidic, funky, stable scent.

Tap at the source. Pours hazy straw with white head that lasts and laces. Smells of tangerine/tangelo, funk, and some bready notes. Drinks with a moderate tart bite and no lingering bitterness. Light bodied. Tastes of tart tangelo, white grape, and slight wheat flavors. Dry, tart finish.

tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - MAR 25, 2014
Bottle: Pours a mostly clear, bright yellow color with a soapy, bone-white head that wastes no time drifting to a thick, foamy film & collar. Huge Brett bomb on the nose, but elegantly so. Tart, sweaty pineapple with lots of cheesy, cork-y funk... Borderline sour green apple skins, faint orange notes, musty barnyard, & bale upon bale of damp hay. First sip hits with a very tart, nearly sour lemon-y & stone fruit flavor, bordering on acidic but without the intense burn. Big notes of wood, hay, horseblanket.... characteristic Brett-y funk dominates the finish along with a lingering citrus-y tartness that decrescendos into a dry, woody finish. Another great beer from Crooked Stave... labeled as a witbier but drinks more like a saison.

Bottle. Golden pour with white head. Brett and tart sour tone and light citrus aromas. Flavor is dominated by Brett and some tart tones, citrus and wheat take a back seat.
