Bottle I brought home with me from a trip to Denver. Labeled batch 7/11, bottle 429/1599. Pours a light amber with a white fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is of light fruity brett funk with a hint of pepper and tartness. Taste is of tart saison with some rustic malt character popping in, then moving on to a light fruitiness with some creamy oat in the finish. Light bitterness and hints of european hops. Palate is tart and quite dry but very refreshing and smooth. Overall this is a good farmhouse beer with a great tartness, mild and balanced funkyness that presents itself as ripe fruit. Delicate in its approach, bright and playful in its flavors and really pleasant to drink. Great beer!

12.7floz (375ml) bottle), "February 2015" dating, poured into an imperial nonic glass, paid the discounted price of $1 for a single. Its a hazy gold with a thin film of head. Smells like a sour with notes of apricot and lemon-pepper. Ahh...the catch all style of saison prevails in this brew concoction. Sourness is evident; high for a saison IMO, and moderate if determined only as such for designated sour. Dry and very effervescent feel, \. Nose dont lie, flavor is of ground black table pepper spice and lemon. Something to consider for future dinking, except I can only get it in select stores...so I wont likely drink this out nor buy except for a rare occasion.

Slightly hazy in the glass. Tangy and fruity character dominate. This is only ok.

Bottle. Orange, lemon, biscuit malt, and hay aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Lightly sweet orange, lemon, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter straw flavor. Light Bretty finish. Solid, standard.

On tap at De Kromme Haring. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of vomit, some sourness, citrus, some Brett, socks, doesnt smell great tbh. Flavour is sour, citrus, light funky, some oak, wood, sour finish with light woody bitterness. Light bodied. Flavour is nice, aroma a letdown.

375 ml bottle poured into a pint glass. The beer is a hazy yellow with a white head of foam. Aroma has juicy tropical fruits and herbal notes. Sweet and juicy tartness in the taste. Mild acidity. Medium body and medium carbonation. Really nice beer.

May 2015 bottle. Quite different than a batch I had before (That one was very sour, lambic like almost). Light fruity esters, medicinal barn funk, very light plasticine, hint of acetic sourness.

Really nice saison, nice barrel hints and wildness. Liked it very much, pity that not very often in Poland.

0.375 l bottle from Rudat, batch #15, bottled in 2014. Clear, golden amber with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sourish-fruity, quite funky and a bit soapy aroma of lemon, gooseberry, barnyard and pineapple. Quite sour, fruity and funky taste of lemon, gooseberry, rhubarb, oak, straw, barnyard and a bit of vinegar, followed by a medium long, rather tart, moderately woody-dry finish with slight hints of nail polish remover. Almost medium-bodied, quite astringent and just slightly effervescent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Quite complex, very refreshing, would benefit from a bit more carbonation though. Still not the biggest fan of Crooked Stave.
