A 375ml bottle from 2014/batch 15 poured into a Duvel tulip glass. The beer poured a slightly hazy golden orange colour with a thin head that dissipates quickly but leaves nice lacing. Aromas strong of barnyard funk, slight tropical fruit pineapple, maybe mango and slight citrus tangy tangerine. Excellent tart and sour tastes. Light lemon citrus along with some even lighter tropical mango and yeasty notes to balance. Medium bodied, low to medium carbonation. Overall, this was excellent, a definite must buy for me. Loved the upfront tart and sourness in the beer. Up to par with its Belgian counterparts for this style in my opinion, but probably harder to find in Hong Kong. I want more! tcane7 (1674) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 30, 2013
Bottle, courtesy of a trade with robloc303. Split with Pat and Sean Tommy. Pours a murky golden orange with fluffy white head and soapy lace. Nose of lemon rind, horse blanket, lactic acid, stone fruit. Medium body, nicely tart. Great lemon and funk flavor. Well balanced beer. Another great Crooked Stave. phaleslu (10267) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 28, 2013
Draft at the Barrel Cellar. Pours a hazed pale gold with a small white head with larger bubbles. The aroma is super funky, with lemon, orange, apricot, oak, herbs, and spices. Some bready malts and vinous notes, as well. Flavor of lemon, oak, grass, sawdust, funk, apricot, peach, and subtle spice. Tart and funky, with moderate to medium carbonation and a light to medium body. Wow, this was excellent. Paz (71) - Oakland, California, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours a dark amber with a thin white head. Aromas of fruit, lemon, brett, and funk. Tastes of tart stone fruit and oak. Really nice saison. Reynolds314 (3450) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Probably my second favorite beer by CS. Tons of vinous grapey flavors with some oak, funky brett, lactic tartness, and the typical sulfuric extra funky crooked stave yeast. The last firework always gets put in the tube upside down.

Just an outstanding beer. Tartness is light but evident. Slight Saison aroma but not as funky as Vielle. Very drinkable and now one of my favorites. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2013
Bottle: Thanks Joes: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Small to medium off white foamy head on top of a hazy yellow orange colored beer.
Aromas of yeast, brett, grapes, barnyard, wood, cheese, hay, sour, reminds me a bit of Cantillon.
Flavours of tart, yeast, hay, grapes and light grapefruit, light bitter, wood, floral herbs, brett, lovely! Tart, wood and yeast. Yummi!
Aftertaste is a mix of bitters and sours/tart, yeast, fruit, wood and some floral tones.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture. MarinEvelyn (854) - Wisconsin, USA - FEB 23, 2014
Sweet, delicate orange citrus aroma. Strong citrus and yeast taste. Cuddly orange color with consistent carbonation. Thin white lace top. Beautiful beer olsvammel (7225) - Örebro, SWEDEN - MAY 24, 2014
Bottle from a bottle shop in Copenhagen. Fruity smell, citrusy with some grape, slightly wineous, funky with barnyard aromas. Very fruity and funky with a light tartness. Easy to drink and very refreshing . Bule (2164) - California, USA - JUL 27, 2014
375ml bottle pours a slightly hazy orangey brown color. Medium sourness balances against the farmhouse funk.
