375mL thanks to unclerudy. Pours low haze orange, weak foam. Low carbonation. Spotty lace. Nose is quite salty, mild impending Acetic acid, buttery chardonnay oaked. Taste is fruity, fresh orange and pineapple, quite a lot of buttery creamy chardonnay barrel. Hints of acetic acid, but not nearly as aggressively sour as the Oculus Dexter. Juicy, salty aftertaste. Another impressive sour from CS.

Bottle with thanks to Brewthusiast. Pours clear amber, small off-white head, dissipates fairly slowly leaving nice residual and nice lacing. Aroma is quite pure Bretty basement funk plus oak tannins and some vinous notes. Flavor has some initial sweetness, drying out quickly to a medium tartness and a light funk. Lots and lots of oak and white wine on this one. Very fruity flavor and body. Green grapes galore. Wow, this is a pure expression of wood and grape. Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy golden color ale with a small white foamy head with limited retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of tart notes with light vinous notes also noticeable. Taste is a bit of a mess with limited cohesion and no sense of direction. Tart notes are easily distinguishable with Chardonnay notes not nearly as noticeable. Tasted from bottle last April. Pours a golden yellow, semi filtered. Aroma of wild yeast but a very clean aroma. Big carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of funky ass chardonnay wild yeast, green grapes, beyond sour apple. Overall very drinkable but sour like lemon and yeasty craziness.

Bottle shared by tom10101. Slightly hazy orange with thin white head that recedes into a lasting ring of foam. Aroma is oak, butter, some fruits (pears) and bugs. Chardonnay barrels may have contributed to the butter/vanilla aromas. Taste has some lemons, wood and the acidity is mostly acetic. Good mouthfeel presence. Somewhat distracted from the butter and acetic, an above average american sour nonetheless. Bottle (375 ml). Thanks to Scott for this one! Hazy orange with a small white head and good sticky lacing. Aroma is of winey notes, butter, acetic notes, light funk, vanilla/oak and light spices. Taste is also buttery with oak/vanilla, Chardonnay, slight acetic presence and some funk. Medium body. Low carbonation. Winey mouthfeel. Good Sour, but a tad too buttery. UPDATED: AUG 25, 2013 A - pours hazy honey orange with no head at all. Some sticky lacing. S - wow this smells sour. Vinegar, tart lemons, acetic notes. Nice tart orange, lemon bars (crispy pie crust notes) and Chardonnay. M - very low carb. Very tart right up front, smooths out real quick. Nice balanced middle and end, tart, sweet, funky. Slightly sticky end. T - Fruit forward. Nice tart lacto, lemon juice and tangerines up front. Palate is rich desserty lemon bars, pie crust. End is citrusy (grapefruit) and funky, with nice mustiness and horse blanket. Chardonnay and white grape juice throughout. O - this is definitely my favorite stave so far. Bottle split with Alan and Keith, pours hazy golden with light head and not much lacing. Aromas and taste of buttery oak, chardonnay, pineapple, lemons, tart cherry, lactic funk, and salty brett. Light to medium carb and body. Great b.a. saison.
