COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Vieille meaning “Old” is our artisinal barrel-aged Saison, lightly dry hopped. Each batch release is a diverse blend of Vieille casks that have taken on a soft Brettanomyces character before being lightly dry hopped. Dominated by a floral, citrusy hop character, a subtle herbal note and a tart finish, Vieille’s character exemplifies artisan Saisons.

Pours golden with very light lacing and hazy cloudiness. Aroma is very funky lemon, burlap, hay, black pepper, band-aid, and a bit of hemp. Flavor is what you’d expect from the aroma- dust, burlap, massively tart funk, great grassy moment, a distant tobacco note, and a slight rye toast in the finish. Outstanding.

Got this bottle from Shawn shaut! This poured a golden yellow with a really nice white head. Aroma was bretty with some mild fruity notes. The taste was very complex very nice subtle peppery with subtle malt notes and the hops kept the Brett at bay some. This made the beer drink very smooth. Overall very refreshing beer and it would be my go to beer on a hot day! Awesome job!

On tap at the source. Pours a light orange, with lacy white head. Aroma is grass, light funk and light vinegar tartness. Taste is grass, light hops with mild hoppy bitterness. Slight citrus fruit throughout. Palate is light body, medium carbonation. Not bad, but better offerings are available from crooked stave.

Habanero (4642) - Tranbjerg, DENMARK, DENMARK - APR 21, 2014
Bottled. Pours hazy golden with an average, lacing white head. Aroma of floral hops, citrus, brett and herbal notes. Sweet flavor that ends up dry and quite tart. Medium bodied, watery texture and soft carb. An excellent Saison.

Riktigt gott.

DialSquare (4988) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 16, 2014
Bottle from Proof. Gold pour with a white head and loose sheets of lacing. Aroma is farmhouse, sweet bread, earthy, brett. Tastes are citrus, lemon, lightly tart, barnyard, little floral. Easy drinking, but just a tad on the thin watery side. Nice enough, but expensive. Like the Surette better.

knickskicks (1162) - - APR 15, 2014
Hazy yellow/orange, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Nose is strong orange peel and pulp, some lemon, floral hops. Taste is bitter orange pulp, tart lemon, bittering hops. Soft carbonation and light mouthfeel, a touch watery.

3.6
BMMillsy (1788) - Florida, USA - APR 13, 2014
Bottle from Bottle Barn in Santa Rosa. Pours clear yellow to light golden colored with a fluffy white head. Brett on the aroma with light citrus and grass, dryness, tart. Flavor is dry citrus and hay, lemon peel, some tart Brett, dry oak, and a slightly dirty wheaty finish. Light bodied with high carbonation. This would be excellent if it weren't for the slight unpleasant finish, but solid overall.
