Bottle shared with Taylor and Terrance at original gravity. Pours hazy golden color with small to medium white head and good lacing. Taste and smell are sour candy, salt, minerals, beach dunes, and all kinds of Bretty funk. Really complex and tart. Really dry . Amazing. Luk_ (243) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 28, 2014
One of the best american sours to reproduce the baryard feeling: horse blanket, dust, wood, earth. Oakes (19027) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 27, 2014
Taste is slightly tart with a strong cereal presence. Carbonation and alcool is low, this one is extraordinairely drinkable. 375ml is definitly too small for this lawnmoer beer.
Another hit from this very promising brewery.
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2014 Vieille Batch 5. Hazy light tan, aroma has some dusty yeast, a lot of florals, wood sorel tartness, a lot tartness, bit woody, again with the tart floral character, refreshing, light bodied, a straightforward quenching saison. 8-4-7-4-15 = 3.8 sethdude (708) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - APR 26, 2014
Vieille Dry Hop: Hazy yellow, thin head, aroma is very orangey, fresh and hoppy with grapefruit and blood orange. Tart, light malts, vibrant, gentle acidity. Fresh citrus hop character. Unbelievably drinkable. 8-4-9-5-18 = 4.4
Pours golden with very light lacing and hazy cloudiness. Aroma is very funky lemon, burlap, hay, black pepper, band-aid, and a bit of hemp. Flavor is what you’d expect from the aroma- dust, burlap, massively tart funk, great grassy moment, a distant tobacco note, and a slight rye toast in the finish. Outstanding.
