COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like all of the Wild Wild Brett Series, Violet is a 100% Brettanomyces beer. Violet was brewed with pomegranate and lavender and fermented on whole fruit passion fruit. After fermentation Violet was then dry-hopped with an experimental hop (Ex. 366) that we received from our growers.

Admin Note: Aging on "Extra Passionfruit" and dry hopping (an already dry hopped beer) does not necessitate a new entry.

750 ml bottle from adnielsen. Shared in line at New Glarus. Pours a hazy dulled amber orange hue, dulled hazy body with a frothy whitish head atop. Dies to a firm hazy layer, decent lacing and stick around. Aromas are decent pomegranate and funk, firmer funk and cobwebs as we get into it. Dusty, bretty horseblanket with straw. Decent oak, a touch of vanilla hits with straw, decent sourness of lemon, red and dark fruit touches. Initial is firmly sour and bretty, good presence a bit more potent than the nose. Lemony lactic and firm bretty elements are dry, funky, and tart. Lemon, gentle mellow fruit pomegranate, some nice sourness. Funk starts to take over into the backend, dry and oaky, cobwebs with nice sourness to allay an overrun bretty feel. Dry, oaky, some orange with firm brett, gentle pomegranate. Decent to middling sourness, firm oak, bit of vanilla and firm funk throughout. Not as fruity as I anticipated, but still quite lovely. Well done.

On tap at Crooked Stave. Golden orange and hazy with a white head. The aroma is tart, fruity and floral. Similar flavor with a nice sour bite and a medium body. Refreshing and very tasty.

750ml bottle shared by jmborggren. Thanks! Unfiltered chunky golden yellow tan. Sour lemon lime tones. Boldly sour, intense US Sour action. Apricot, plum, pear, lemon, fruity tones. Not overboard, has a nice quaffable palate. Has some nice depth with the 7% alcohol, a nice edge.

Yellow/Orange pour with white head and lace. Aroma is sour crazy fruitiness. Sour acidic taste that ends in the sour crazy it started with. Very dry but ok

Bottle (750 ml). From Scott, thanks! Clear bright golden/orange with a small/medium white head and some lacing. Aroma is of lavender, brettanomyces, red fruits and nice tartness. Taste is fruit oriented (red fruits) with lavender/floral notes, brettanomyces, nice tartness and a lactic presence. Light to medium body. Good carbonation. Slightly dry finish. Fruity and amazingly drinkable/thirst quenching.

Un pot pourri juteux et parfumé dominé par la lavande. Le caractère du brett se faufile bien et assèche la bête, buvabilité biblique.

(750ml bottle) cloudy medium gold, soapy white bubbles. Nose of lavender, passionfruit, dry aged hops, hay, wildflowers, super complex. Taste of lavender, brett, honey, passionfruit, medium tartness, guava, so deliciously balanced and complex. Excellent.

Thanks to errl for sharing this bottle. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has a ton of lavender, violet and other floral notes as well as some oranges. The flavor is also great. I get a ton of lavender character, as well as some light tartness and a hint of brett. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Easy to drink and delicious.
