Cask Conditioned handpump Victoria Leeds. A dark ruby coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. A lot of black cherry in this. A malty fruity beer but the base doesn’t seem very porterish. I want chocolate with my cherry. It’s a bit like a dark fruit beer. DanielBrown (4502) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2012
Hand pulled at the Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. Sweet, dark brown Porter, with a Benylin lining of cherry. Rather pleasant, a little like a Milk Tray strawberry cream. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2012
Cask at The White Lion, Covent Garden. London. Amber beer with a beige head. Fruity aroma, chocolate, cocoa powder, a bit earthy. Chocolate flavor, cherry notes, fruity. A bit thin. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 7, 2012
Cask. Cherry porter. Dark brown with red highlight. Khaki head. The nose is pretty light, some roasted flavors, dark fruits, sugar. The taste is initially bitter, dry. This eventually gives way to some vanilla and cherry flavor. Body is medium, carbonation is light. Overall, a good change of pace. Not terribly exciting.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Oak, Oxford (Ember Inns). Deep brown, ruby with cream head. There is a potent cherry nose to this, fresh and really quite prominent. This follows into the flavour, dominating the beer a little, but it did seem quite festive at the time. It’s reasonable.
