2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Found some notes from 2010. Pours clear amber with a thin white head that leaves thin lace. The nose is bread malt with some underlying hops and a strange cherry aroma. The flavor falls a bit flat with just a bit of bread and caramel malt with very light hops. The body is medium plus with light carbonation and a short finish.
Lightly hazed copper to umber colored liquid. Moderate, but stable ecru head. Light fruit and sour mash scents. Sweet malt and lightly sour. Not much bitterness to be found. Rustic, perhaps; good, not really. 3/11

Old Rate. 500ml bottle. Not a pale ale in the least. Very alcholic and almsot liek a malt-liquor barleywine, pass on it. Lemke10 (981) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 23, 2012
Pours a murky, medium brown color with almost no head and slight piece floating in it. Has a slight scent of hops but that’s about it. The taste is slightly tart with very little bitterness. Compared to most pale ales, you would think this is a beer gone bad, but lots of other reviews describe the same look that I see. Not really too much taste overall. I’m glad I got this as part of a closeout deal as this is not something I enjoy or will buy again. jimhilt (2610) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 12, 2012
Pours a one finger off-white head that fades quickly to a ring leaving a trace of lace. Murky amber color, ton of yeast left in bottle. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose and flavor is caramel, musty, earthy and is watery. Unusual English pale. Higher ABV is hidden. $7.00 for a 330ml bottle from Tully’s Beer & Wine Wells, Me.

hazy orange with a white head.
not much in the aroma... florals, a little malt, caramel, vanilla and orange.
the flavor makes me think of sour iced tea?
thin for 8%. meh. 4/3/4/2/9

Bottle. Pours a hazy brown with almost no head, but lots of "floaties" in there. Aroma is of lemon and iced tea. Flavor is sour and earthy. Carbonation is really low. Not sure if this has gone bad or not... beerbastard (844) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - FEB 5, 2011
I really didn’t like this that much. Too sweet. Thought of 7up. Not well balanced at all. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Bottle pours hazy amber with an eggshell head. Aroma shows notes of caramel, vanilla, orange, and tea. Flavor shows the same but in a very artificial way. Overall body is thin and clumsy with a tiny trace of earthy
hops on the finish. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JAN 31, 2011
Amber pour. Whitish head. Sweet aroma of iced tea, fake lemon. Flavor is the same. Rather yucky.
