Our very first brew and still our most popular cask beer. A classic bitter providing a balanced hoppy flavour with a malty aftertaste.

Bottle. Amber with a large off-white foam. Aromas are fruiity citrus with green pine hops. Flavours are very hoppy and fruity. Bitter lemon with a dry finish. Thats it, but its good.

Cask at The Anchor Inn, Oakerthorpe, Derbyshire. Amber in colour with a white head; fruity taste and a clean bitter finish. A fairly basic bitter, not as interesting as some of the other Cropton brews.

Maria (10213) - Thisted, DENMARK - APR 3, 2007
Bottle. This bitter has a nice copper color and no head at all, and the mouthfeel is completely flat. The aroma has notes of fruit just like the flavour, where I also find notes of caramel. It has a nice, citrussy bitterness.

Bottle. Foggy copper orange body with a large white frothy head. The aroma is fresh - piney hops and sweet biscuit. Dry palate with an adequate hop profile and live carbonation. A bit too sour overall for what this is supposed to be.

Bottle. Haze, amber with large white rocky top, yeast sediment at the base. Strong green aromatic hoppy nose with rich fruity base. Medium bodied, slightly acidic, soapy with hoppy top. Green black tea like aftertaste.

Nice malt/hops aroma, light copper, pours a large off-white head. Subtle malt taste, sweet, almost cloying. A little less than hoped for. Thank You Michael @ Chesters in Hamilton!

Hazy orange with a large white head. Sweet head with a hint of marmalade fruit. Malty flavour but a lot of sourness before the long lasting bitter finish. Drinkable but didnt completely work for me.

An orange beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is lovely sweet with notes of hops and fruits. The flavor is sweet with a good hop presence, but also notes of caramel and hints of citrus from the hops, leading to a dry end.
