A freak last minute notice buisness trip to Albany made me venture to xroads for dinner. This beer found its way into mug 88 at some point. Amber hue with off white head that vanishes. Light lacing on the side of my mug. Nose and taste with nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon. Trends sweet on the palate. Slick mouth and easy to gulp down in massice quanity. I am generally not a fan of pumpkin beers but this one was more than passable.
Draft @ Blind Tiger, New York. Pours a slightly hazy pale orange brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak cinnamon spicy pumpkin aroma. Fruity malty spicy pumpkin and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy pumpkin finish. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2014
On draught at the brewpub. Arrived a hazy dark brown with a moderate linen white head that left light lace. Pleasant aroma of pumpkin and malt with allspice and nutmeg. The flavor is very similar to the aroma with malt, pumpkin, allspice and nutmeg. Mild bitterness at the finish. The spice flavor lingers briefly on the palate after the swallow. Medium bodied. coldbrewky (1730) - Hippetown East, New York, USA - OCT 15, 2012
Ahhh. On draft at the brewpub after the last of the HPA. I’ve waited a year to try this again since I washed my beer notes in my jeans last year. Yes, it was worth the wait. As I remembered, a full spice and then pumpkin nose. A lovely glowing orange in the glass. Small squarish lacing. Complex and solidly pumpkin. Sweet home-made crust with spice follows closely from nose to large body and mouthfeel. Fades slightly for marching finish. Stron center of pumpkin spice . Long lingering spice aftertaste. YUM. On tap at Crossroads. Pours a hazed copper tinged orange with a thin white head. Big pie spice, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Medium bodied, the spices here faint and gentle, letting the malt profile come through. Toast, caramel, soft malt. Very nice, a welcome change from a lot of the over spiced one dimensional pumpkin beers.
